"Doorway" index pages leading to freesite
 

I did use the search feature before posing this question, but to be honest, reading through the threads confused me even more then I was, before I started reading them! |cry|

My question is a simple one, but I guess the answer is not as easy.

I did a free site submission yesterday, and was turned down by a couple because of a "doorway" index page.

Here is an example of how I submitted:

Index/Warning Page:
http://www.lorshasvideos.com/gal/gal01/gl01/index.htm

Which then leads to the free sites next page: http://www.lorshasvideos.com/gal/gal01/sexybbw.htm

I use a different folder for my index pages, so I can submit them to 16 different free sites each time, without having to recreate the entire site with every file each time, to clutter up my server.

Why would this be frowned upon at all? The 16 recips on each page all have a fair shot at getting traffic, just as if I submitted them within the same folder.

I only recieved 2 rejections in total, out of 80 submissions; but am curious if I will be recieving anymore because of this. |confused|

Lorsha - that set-up will get your fs declined at most link lists. Most LL want all the html content in one folder.

It would be better to have all the content for that site in the gl01 folder.
It won't really clutter your server as the html code on a fs doesn't take up too much space.

Speaking of this freesite.....

Am I missing something?....how is this a BBW site?

i used to do a drop down folder style with 2 seperate pages.

and each one would go to the http://www.foxyslinks.com/gay/ page as the main page. I didn't get accepted from about 3 of the 35 or so lists i would submit too.

If you want to do the doorways, you need to make it all in one folder for alot of ll's. Personally i don't care. I'm not sending as much traffic as the top 12 link lists, so why would i expect to not be on a doorway.

I decided to just stop doing doorways and just use the best 20 or so link lists for my genre and then only have one proper site, that worked good for me.

I do know that it was borderline, but I figured my ass was big enough to qualify. I did not get any rejections due to my ass being to small, hehe. Kind of wish I did .... |pokefun|

You're not a BBW by a long shot. Want proof? Visit a few free sites in the BBW category and you'll understand the difference. :)

As for the doorway thing I really couldn't care less. As long as I don't suspect foul play you can organize your folders any way you like.

Let me just step up onto my soap box here:

The way I see it, there's so many ways to manage content on a box the only thing that should matter is whether all pages/images are hosted on the same domain.

Now that I've said my piece, oldbrad's tip works for me. ;)
