Need help finding a post
There was a thread that Greenie listed a way of organizing gallery templates for each day of the week He had them neatly shown in the directory structure and all. I can't for the life of me find that thread. I found his freesite organization post, but I just cannot find that other one.
I hate to post something like this, but every damn search I tried just didn't turn up anything. Thanks woodspan |
I honestly don't remember typing that one up - lol
I know when I was building free sites, I had 25 warning pages, 20 main pages & 30 gallery pages. I numbered each 01warn, 02warn...25warn; 01main, 02main...20main; 01gallery, 02gallery...30gallery So on the 1st day, I'd build with 01warn, 01main & 01gallery. 4th day it'd be 04warn, 04main, 04gallery. 21st day, it'd be 21warn, 01main, 21gallery (because I used 20main the day before) 31st day, it'd be 01warn, 11main, 31gallery I'm not sure how many different combinations that gives you, but it's a shitload :) So just go in order - once you get to the end of one, start back over with it while you keep going with the others. |

Is that the thread? :) It's one of those golden bits of advice that I wish I'd been aware of ages ago. After reading that thread I managed to get to around 15 freesites ahead of schedule, but unfortunately stumbled with kids holidays etc, and had to use that batch of freesites-in-waiting. I'm now working on building up my freesite "bank" again. It feels bloody great when you have a load of freesites already built ready to submit. |thumb |
Thanks Greenie and KG for the help. I found the post KG was referring to in one my searches. That one involved freesites. The one I was looking for was for galleries. God, I even had it bookmarked on my other computer....which of course was lost somehow.
I'll take what Greenie wrote and apply it to my gallery scenario. Damn.......that was a great post though. My own fault for loosing it. |
Hmm, it would be nice to have an option here that would allow us to bookmark the thread you like. Possible to set that up, Greenie? :) Or is it maybe already here and I just missed it, lol

Use the "Subscribe to this Thread" function under the "Thread Tools" drop down link at the top of the threads you want to find again and it'll help you when you're looking for it again. Just check the subscribed threads in your user control panel.
