All new, all learning..

Hi. |waves| I would like to introduce my site http://sexworld.tw

Well, it's my first attempt and meant as a long term project. I'm still working on it. As I mentioned I'm new and seems that I make daily new mistakes that I have to correct. lol

Anyway, I think the basic conception is visible: entertainment & infos mixed with business.
The site is around 2 month young. Acutally I have ~ 250 - 300 uniques daily. Although until today I did almost zero to promote it. Added the link to some linkdumps. That's all.

I would be happy, if you tell me your opinion.

I read somewhere that you would be better off if you would have .com domain, but I don't know if that's true. Otherwise it's a nice site. Me likes it :)

If you want to do a long term project you should get yourself .com domain.

Otherwise your blog looks ok.

Thanks for your kind comments, Gents. I agree that a .com would fit probably better. But I assume that sexworld.com costs a fortune. |huh

well you can always try worldsex.com ;)

I'm sure you realize link dump traffic doesn't last and usually lower quality. You might have trouble getting Search Engine traffic also, as the site/script doesn't look very SE friendly.

True. I need to work on it. For example I can install a modul that produces search engine friendly urls. Actually I get many hits from MSN search. Although on google my site is buried deep down the ranks.

Yes, I know about the low quality of link dump traffic. It's just that I do all my myself at my site and I didn't had much time to advertise.
I will start no to advertise more seriously.

Celdric - unless you're really in Taiwan, or your site is really about Taiwanese girls or something, you really need to consider changing to a ".com" domain before you start spending time and money promoting a site with a ".tw" domain.

Thanks for your input, Simon. Well, it's an important point. I reflected about that when I started the site. I have for example babeshome.com that I could have used also.

Anyway, I choosed sexworld because in my opinion it covers the entire field of sexuality and erotic without being to explicit or to focuss too much on a niche. I want to make a site rather meant to a common people, you know. Especially I try to get some female audience.
Well, babeshome can't do the job. And other variations of com with the same quality that the name sexworld has are not get or only for big money.

However, I'm not sure, how much common surfers care at all what extension a domain name has. If they not rather care the sound of a name? Are there statistics outthere?
Well, all in all I thought it's the better way to use sexworld.tw than a cheap crappy phrase just for the reason because it's a com.

Hope, my reply make sense, Simon. English isn't my mother tounge. :)

Nice work!

A .com is ideal but there are plenty of high traffic sites who thrive not having the .com. Just be aware that the dot com holder might be getting some of your traffic from people who link incorrectly or forget the proper TLD extension. Also some people may decide not to trade with you or link to you over it -- but that is just how it is sometimes.

Link dumps. Yes these seldom send any good QUALITY hits and could even hurt you SEO wise. It likely is not worth it. There are so many other ways to get more traffic out there that are less risky.

Just keep building and getting more and more people to your sites. Make each day better than the previous and you'll get there. :)

Thank you, Allfetish.

I think, that's the best advice one can give.

I have to agree with the others. You should use .com, or if it's not possible then .net...
