Stats script question
I have a stats script call phpmyvisites but to implement it in my pages i have to put a script tag in the code like google analytics or others.
the question is can i do that?? |
most sites list only static sites, any kind of scripts is not permitted.

If you want to analyze stats on your free sites, safest bet is to use your hosts log files and some log analyzing software like weblogstorming.
|
See if your host has AWstats or Webalizer installed. They both suck as far as matching up which traffic is hitting which pages, but do a sufficient job at telling you which pages are getting hit and who is sending traffic your way. AWstats is the preferred one - more bells and whistles.

ok thanks again Useless Warrior and Johnnybg
i have a godaddy hosting account and i have a webstats from their but how Useless said sucks but help |
godaddy sounds bad, you should get a host accepting adult content before godaddy kicks you and all your sites are gone. (bad reputation, perhaps blacklist)
|
oh i didnīt know that i donīt have money to change the host yet but thanks for the tip
what host you recommend??? |
I don't see how putting php on your pages will hurt you, unless your trying to load some bad stuff. Almost all my pages use php, plus I have a php ads script, been doing both for many years.
Javascript is what can cause you problems. Godaddy can be real bad because they can lock up your domain name, without that, your done. They've done it to many people. I agree with UW, awstats is not to bad, many hosts provide it free with the hosting. |
