Is it OK to do this on a free site?

I was wondering if it's OK to put a framed page on an outgoing sponsor link. I want to be able to sell more and keep the user as long as possible, so my idea to do it was to link to use an user friendly page with related content, other sites that sell similar content, also allow them to vote for the sites they visit. Of course there will be an options for:

1. closing only the current frame
2. not showing the frame at all

This is AFTER they click on a sponsor link. I've attached quickly made version of what I have in mind. Not sure yet if the frame is going to be above or bellow the content, but that's pretty much the size I have in mind...

What I'm asking is basically if it's OK with the LL people...

I'd have to see it in action to say for sure, but based on this & the image, I'd say it's fine.

I'd think it would be ok as long as nothing tricky is going on like forcing the surfer to stay in the frame or loading the page with a ton of pop ups or something.

Nah, actually the original version of the pic I posted said "User friendly frame" :D Just thought I'd spam more stuff on it, so people get the idea. I'm intending to keep it as simple as possible, but be able to keep the surfers after they leave the free site.

Personal pet peeve for me and a couple others is if the back button is compromised when going to sponsor/outgoing link. Some big sponsors are starting to do this but you have to let their whole page load to catch it. To me thats below a blind link.

I would think as long as the surfer can hit the back button and get back to your FS and the LL, without frames, it should not be a problem since its one of your outgoing links they are landing on.

Just my 2cents

It reminds me of one of those surf for click schemes folks were using with google adsense a while back. Other than that, I think it's a good idea, but am not sure how the sponsors feel about something like that.

As for my LLs, I don't see a problem with the framed sponsor links.

I'd be cool with it if, as JustRobert says, it doesn't mess with the back button.

Something to keep in mind, while i was doing research for an upcoming project, is that a surprising amount of sites i checked would not allow the site to be in a frame.

I wanted to have pages like /paysite/ with the paysite being in a frame and the more i checked sponsors the more i found ones that wouldn't allow frames at all.

Just double check the programs tos prior to adding them.
