Blog breaks up in Firefox

What can cause a blog to completely come apart in FF from on minute to the next? Take a look. Really, one minute it was fine, the next it looked like shit, yet in IE it's perfectly fine. I hunted down any posts that looked like they might have caused it and deleted them, same difference. Disabled all plugins & feeds, nada.

So naturally I panicked and performed a full upgrade to the latest version of WP. Every single file has been replaced and still it's broken in every theme I've tested it in, fixed and fluid. |huh

I have no clue what's going on, so if someone has any suggestions I'm listening.

Looks like the theme is not compatible with Firefox. Did you try any other theme? There is quite possibly something in CSS that doesn't work in Firefox with column layout.

BTW, the plugin that is supposed to convert text to real tags is not working properly.

edit: yes you did test other themes... |banghead|
I still think it's the themes issue

It's still broken with an unchanged 100% width theme straight out of the zip, so I don't see how it can be the theme.

The "semiologic" theme you have active right now is displaying the same in both Safari and Firefox. I saw the broken layout before, but this looks fine.

No, it's still broken. All the page content is supposed to be inside the white container. Could corrupted db tables cause anything like this? I'm starting to think that one of the feeds broke something beyond repair.

I'm considering considering deleting the whole thing including the db and doing a fresh install. The blog only has 12 posts and I can save those.

Now I see what you mean in Firefox.

Removing this from the page fixes it. Something in this code is screwed up.

Code:

That prick, Preacher, could solve this in seconds. It's a CSS issue in which the encapsulating
doesn't always manage to keep all of its babies tucked inside. I have that same problem on a site mine, but I haven't bothered to deal with it yet. It may be a matter of 'clearing' divs or some shit like that.

Well waddaya know, that fixed it! Thanks Cleo! |thumb I was just about to flush the whole blog down the toilet.

I was much happier before I started using FF and couldn't see stuff like this. Ignorance is bliss. |loony|

The moral of the story is don't blindly trust whatever code the sponsor provides without checking it an all popular browsers!
