Hi, I am still learning but I think it is a good idea to link you thumbs to a gallery and put link under your posts to the site where the thumbs are from...

Pertunda: More frequent updates? Last addition I see is 08/15/07. Most sites of this nature are updating within a one-three day timeline covering many new articles.

Sell your sponsor more to them in the blog posts. Say something (if it is the truth) like: "Look at these sexy pictures I got from the other day, I just love this site it is my personal favorite!"

Another trick I am finding effective is to link to another site you own which also pushes the same sponsor. Don't make it obvious that you also own the site though. The surfer will see what appears to be two different people really recommending the site and is more likely to buy. |thumb

You say 110k page views, how many uniques are you getting?

I don't see any money links in the posts? Only place I can see ads is at the top and they are so small.

uniques is about 30-40k monthly.....i'm trying to find a plugin for wordpress that can rotate ads at the bottom or top of each post. anyone have any links to these sort of plugins that can help for advertising? i don't want to have to paste the HTML code to advertisements everytime a post is written.

Where is Mr Walrus? I have no idea on a plug. Ya, ads top and bottom would be good. On the main page, I don't really see many ads.

thanks for all the suggestions guys. i added advertisements between each post. It seemed to me that suggestion will help increase sales overall. it looks like it's a little to much ads but i'll see how it performs over the next few months. if you guys can take a look at the site again www.sexycelebrity.net and let me know what you think of the changes and what else I can do to improve conversions and increase sales.

What about sponsor links in posts, text links, like natural looking ones, those are suppose to be the best. Think those would do better than ads, and possible SEO later on.

i just added some social networking tools that should get the site more popular. i'm setting up an SEO plugin right now and trying to find an InText advertising network that accepts adult sites (I don't think there is one yet). if you guys know of any please post it in here.

Pertuda why don't You use phpAdds for Your banner rotation!? just add the code in Your template and You're got to go ... I've found it to be the simplest way to track it, blogs included.

After surfing the site a little, I got the same ad, with a "skip this ad" link at the top, which brought me back to the page I was going to. I've seen this before, can't remember what they call them. Like check out the ads then click to get to your correct page.

The header image took some time to load, must be pretty big, file size.

I remember now, they are called, "Interstitial ads". From Wikipedia: "interstitials are web pages that are displayed before an expected content page, often to display advertisements or confirm the user's age." Course never see them used much.

ronnie I have no problem with "Interstitial ads" it's the bullshit verbag. in the ad that irks me.

Those ads sure don't help the biz. Surprising it's being pushed on the blog, seems counter productive.

Those are intersital ads like someone mentioned above. They are from Adbrite and I don't have control over what ads in the Adbrite network are displayed. I'll look into it though and see what add your talking about pops up.

i actually do use openads aka phpadsnew in my network of sites, just not on sexycelebrity. I actually found a plugin for Wordpress that does what I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though! |headbang|

I've bounced in this thread and visited the site. Ran into the Napster of Porn ad and simply decided not to post.
