http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Musi...ead/index.html
For some reason I always kept watching when he appeared on TV. RIP Luciano... |
I heard he was ill. Yet another cancer death. :(
|
RIP Luciano... He had a great voice, his music will live forever!
|
He's been ill for a while now, I think he had pancreas cancer. Maybe I should read the article. He was pretty overweight, poor guy. R.I.P.

Awww...man, that sucks. I remember sitting in my Grandma's living room, listening to him on the hi-fi. What a pure voice.

As boring as opera is normally -- he really changed it from being boring to exciting along with Beverly "Bubbles" Sills who died in July. I saw him once on his own and 2 times with the 3 Tenors including the Central Park Concert in 1993. It was amazing.

An amazing man that seemed to give mass appeal to what was once a very selective art form. Anyone that can bring art to the masses in the way that he did deserves the worlds thanks and recognition.
