I saw this today and thought it was pretty interesting. A Class Action Lawsuit For Not Using ALT Tags. Wow!

That's unbelievable.... How is it that a company would be liable when the internet is presented in a visual medium? The idea that the blind can use the web is amazing, but it isn't target's fault that their websites aren't blind friendly. Imagine you had to have alt tags on all your images BY LAW? Too much regulation these days, bring back the wild west of the internet.

On the other hand, when we're all hocking images and videos, is it likely that any complaints are going to land in our mailboxes?

So what do we do with sites that use Flash navagation? |catfight|

Add voice to the mouseovers.|huh

On our entry pages we make an image with the alt tag "are you blind, click here!" which takes them to google.

Its unbelievable what you can get sued for these days. Makes it hard to be a webmaster, having to cover your ass so much.

It won't be long before someone builds a site to monetize the 'blind and horny' market. In the meantime, I see pornfortheblind.com is already taken and there's this on the .org version...
