The correct way to name my index page
Hey all, some debate has come up about the proper way to save a sites index page when you use several link list recips (16-20 per page) My concern is this, I use (2) - 20 recip tables that I rotate around and post the site to both sets, Ive seen some say not to mirror the page, etc. but can one be saved as index.htm and the other saved as warning.htm or should I create a whole new directory to save it to and just save it as a fresh index?
example:: /freesitename/index.htm & /freesitename2/index.htm or can it be saved /freesitename/index.htm & /freesitename/warning.htm Thanks J- |jester| |
I've been doing this:
domain/free-site/naem1/index.html domain/free-site/naem1/main.html domain/free-site/naem1/gallery1.html domain/free-site/naem1/gallery2.html domain/free-site/name2/index.html domain/free-site/naem2/main.html domain/free-site/naem2/gallery1.html domain/free-site/naem2/gallery2.html I just change some text and meta tags around and never had a problem. I'm sure others, more experienced have more suggestions. Hope that helps. :) |
Thanks Tek - I thought that too, but have seen it said the other way as well. I just dont want to get BL for silly stuff.
Thanks again J- |jester| |
domain.com/freesitetitle/index.html
domain.com/freesitetitle/freesitetitle2.html (warning page mirror1) lead to: domain.com/freesitetitle/keyphrase1.html (mainpage) domain.com/freesitetitle/keyphrase2.html (gallery 1) domain.com/freesitetitle/keyphrase3.html (gallery 2) |

I believe you will find that the larger LLs that have some traffic to send dont require a specific page name or an index page - as they all know better |thumb
