Is this normal? Sponsor Stats

I wander if this is common when checking sponsor stats.

On Sunday Morning I was checking some stats for one sponsor and it showed no sales for the previous day. Then, later in the day I went back to get some banners and since the front page has a graph that shows the sales, I noticed a spike and checked again. Now I had 3 sales for the previous day. Does it take a full day to show your sales?

Same sponsor this Morning, it shows that yesterday I had no hits on any of their sites. Since this is most likely not the case I went back about 3 hours later, and my God, it showed that I had a bunch of hits. WTF is going on?

Any ideas? Is this normal? This is the only sponsor that this is happening to. Anyone else see this?

Anyway, I think I just had to vent since I don’t think this is normal.

Sometimes it can take up to a day for the payment processors to report the sales back to the sponsor.

I have seen this happen often with pps, and much more with rebills on a few very reputable sponsors.

TekAngel,
I know of at least one program that had a glitch in the stats reporting due to the time change. You might check the message board for that sponsor if they have one. :)

Do time zones make a difference? If your sponsor's host (data center) is on the west coast and you are on the east coast, are the stats lagging? Was this a dumb question?

Not a dumb question, I've noticed a lag with some of them that only update daily. I only check my stats once a day though, usually, better ways to spend your time online ;)
I know a few very successful people in this biz who only check their cheques ;) Which also makes sense because it frees up even more time for working on new sources of income.

I use to check a couple times a day wasting quite a bit of time and making me |banghead| more times than I should. Just started checking only when the programs period ends. This way if its a bad week I get my |banghead| & |angry| out only once. More relaxed during the week and getting more work done :D

For TekAngel, its a pain in the ass when you notice those things. Been printing out period closes to verify against when the check arrives. If its different I go back and check stats. A few extra bucks on a check that I was not expecting puts a :) on my face.

TightTeela 2007-11-07 03:49 AM

would you ever run into this problem with a processor?

Tekster 2007-11-16 09:49 AM

Well, I have not checked the stats for over a week, last lime I had 2 sales and 2 trials for the first week of November. Guess what, today I show absolutely no sales for the month. |catfight|

I guess my sales are just going away after a few days. I did e-mail the sponsor and I am waiting for an answer.

JustRobert 2007-11-16 10:32 AM

That would drive me crazy.
I am wondering is it a revshare program where maybe all constumers, seems unlikely, did a charge back in which sponsor just removes the sale? Unlike CCbill sites most that have their own program/nats do not have a column for returns/chargebacks.

Bobc01 2007-11-16 10:35 AM

That doesn't sound right, i'd be questioning whether that sponsor is honest.

Tekster 2007-11-16 10:40 AM

Yes it is a revshare program with their own nats program, but I doubt that all four of them did a charge back. Then again what do I know. |shocking|

And like I first posted, I can have 0 hits for yesterday, and in one hour I have 1000 hits for yesterday. It does drive me crazy, and I stoped promoting them. I am just waiting to see if I get an answer to the e-mail I sent, and decide if I should pull the free sites I made promoting them.

Bobc01 2007-11-16 10:44 AM

Name the sponsor and see what others who are promoting think.

Like I said before, I will wait for an answer and then if I am not satisfied, I might.

That's fair enough, just that anyone else promoting them might want to look into any sales they had and compare.

If you think they are cheating though then don't be afraid to expose them, cheating sponsors are like vermin and deserve the bad publicity.
