Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day to all Vets. Of course that means that tomorrow is a holiday. I think this is the one of the only business's where having things closed down on a Monday sucks.

It looks like a day of outside work and football.

Good morning world |waves|

Got some pesky mosquitoes in the house last night so sleep was definitely not undisturbed. Sleep - wake - scratch - spray - apply - sleep - wake - scratch ... repeat. One damn door with no screen and I leave it open too long. Oh well, colder weather is coming (although it may get to 80 F later today).

Wishing a damn fine day to all Veterans. I hope you get to spend it in your favorite places and that no one lets you spend a dime today.

:)

Good morning all,

Guess this is the day I myself should be gratefull to all the British, American, Canadian and Australian Veterans that have helped us out here in both WW's. Thx guys :)

Off to see a soccer game. Have a nice day all!

Love this weather. Slept with the windows open and even had a fire going in the fireplace.

Sadly we have a lot more wounded vets now and one-fourth of America's homeless are vets.

Kept on meeting friends at the new Starbucks up the street so kept on drinking more overpriced espresso so woke up a lot to piss out overpriced espresso last night. At least Java tastes a whole lot better then Kava.

Not really sure what we are doing today but going to try to get some work done before friends start dropping by.

Good Sunday Peoples |waves|

I spent most of yesterday rearranging things on the walls of the Pool House while watching hockey. Today will be more of the same, but football will be in the TV :)

Good morning all and Happy Veterans Day :)

Good morning and Happy Veterans Day!

Got up a little late today, so gumbo and black forrest may be off the pre-game agenda. Off I go to Chocolateville to witness the slaying of the Rams. We have some injuries this week so my amended prediction is 36-13.

I shall return this evening a little deafer and a bit more silenced
Can I get a Who Dat?

Have a Southern Fried, Ass whooped Rams kinda Day!
Geaux Saints!

Happy Veteran's Day to you,

I was waking up and the garden is all white and under snow... we got lots of it and it is still snowing. It is not too cold yet so it won't last very long and I hope we won't be flooded.

Happy Sunday all, and a thankful Good morning to all Veterans, Past and Present.

Soccer game @ 1:15 today 1 week left, and then Dallas vs Big Blue on the tube.

I'll be working late night tonight to help with saving some time with regular deeds. Any time saving techniques are always greatly appreciated.

Be well all

Morning..
well we went from 87 degrees on Friday to 55 degrees and a high of 70.
Ok now that I've typed that out..not too bad, actually. could be a high of 55. did I mention that 80 miles north of here, they are having snow and we have rain in our forecast??

Not much today except I think we are finally going to make our "movie" date. The question is, can i sit through another showing of 30 days of night?? Probably not.. i hear a slut machine calling me.

Have a relaxed day...hope all the Vets have a Doubly relaxed day!! |thumb

It's my day - 22-years in the Air Force, most of it away from home (or in places I made my home). I miss the brotherhood but it was time to move on.

Coffee's on for all.....

Any time in the UK?

I think we only have a couple of US bases left here now.

Spent 13 years in Deutschland, while in the Europe, I trained mototcycle safety instructors for the AF - we used to train at RAF Uxbridge and RAF Lakenheath. Used to love to head on up to the Lake District for a weekend ride. Attached is a pic at Lakenheath taken in 1998.

Lake district is awesome on a bike, not so much in the winter though.

Lakenheath is still a US base i think or was a few years ago when 2 F15s screamed overhead when i was up that way.

You never got to Greenham common then, they've just ripped up the runway which was 25ft deep concrete.
Still got all the bunkers and everything though.

Never got up that way but my traveling days are not over. The rug-rats live in Germany and I get to Europe 4 or so times each year. I try to travel with the kids - went to Spain last year... Had a great time.

Bobc01 2007-11-12 06:21 AM

Spain is great, one of the top escape destinations for people who are fed up with it here.

I'm after a change next year so instead of the sun, sea and tits, we're off to do one of the battlefield tours starting in normandy and finish up in belgium.
