Should I wait for the iphone?
 

So I am giving thought of asking Santa for an iphone this Christmas. But I noticed the new ipod touch that looks exactly like the iphone without the phone has a 16 gig HD. The iphone only has 8 gigs. I am thinking that just after Christmas, Apple will do one of those, "if you bought it too early, screw you" type things that they did to the original iphone buyers who paid too much. And, come out with the 16 gig iphone for the same price.

Rumor has it that the next iPhone update will not be until spring or summer so if my cell phone died today I would buy an iPhone today.

You would know better that I would Cleo. It's on my list for Santa. :)

There is always something better coming out but the iPhones that are out now work really well. About the only thing that sucks about them is the slow internet when you aren't within range of WiFi but all my friends have WiFi and most of the places that I'm around have free or paid WiFi.

It is too bad that the iPhone can't make phone calls over WiFi, unlike some T-mobile phones, but that is due to ATT.

Thats what I thought, the new Iphone was suppose to be coming out soon, least what many are saying.

The current Iphone takes memory cards anyways, doesn't it? If you need more storage.

Course need to be watchful anyway. SO many people complaining the new generation Ipod's sound quality sucks. Not to say a new Iphone sound would be different, but you never know.

No it doesn't. It's basically a sealed box. The SIM card comes out but that is it.

I have had the T-mobile wing for a while and I love it. The Wifi stuff is pretty cool as I can talk for free on my own home wifi network. It has all the cool shit like touch screen, mp3 player, dedicated internet, full keyboard, etc...

I heard yesterday on the Bloomberg Report that it would be coming out early 2008. Not that it matters since 3G is not available around here. :) But, I would be willing to bet that 3G is not the only upgrade.

You tempted me into buying one instead of the 5 MP Sony Ericsson!

I have to wonder how much the little slip of a new version so close to Christmas will cost at&t and apple. There has got to be a lot of people that are waiting.

My Sony Ericsson K750i, I really like this phone, is starting to lockup sometimes which means it has been dropped too many times again, it's my second one, so it wont be long before I'm forced to buy a new phone again. I love the fact that I can go up the street, Apple store is one mile from my home, and pickup a new phone without waiting or any hassle.

Seeing as I kill a phone about every six to ten months it doesn't really matter to me that something new is coming out sometime since there is always something new coming out. I always buy on what I need now so when my present phone dies I'll pickup the iPhone since it is the best phone out there right now for my needs. I'll buy the iPhone and then I'll kill the iPhone and then I'll buy whatever suits my needs at that time again.
