Title tag for links?
 

I was reading an article on using title tags for outgoing links. Is there a benefit to this?

I don't think it helps so much with text links, although I don't think it hurts either, so maybe just do it to cover all your bases.

On image links though (banner ads, thumbs, etc.), they can help in letting the engines know what the image is about.

with the images, is it the same as the "alt" text? Because I try and use alt for each image on place on a page.

Title tags can increase keyword density just like alt tags.

My advise is to use both wherever possible.

You can be penalized to having a key-word density that is too high!

It is important to use the correct keywords.

Lets say you are doing a site of cum sucking anal sluts who like men in diapers and tutus while watching Mr. Ed on TV.

Go to all the houses on your block and ask your neighbors what comes to their mind when they come across a site featuring cum sucking anal sluts who like men in diapers and tutus while watching Mr. Ed on TV and use their response as your keywords.

LOL - My neighbors thought I was crazy before - now that know I'm mad.

Keywords gleaned this morning:
"It's 8:20 in the morning - get a fuckin life"
"Richi, go back to you mini-whore and get some sleep"
"Fuck-off you pervert"
"Ed, they're on to you"

Just learn html and write a valid html doc, there's your alt tags, etc etc. Naturally you will have trivial crap like alt tags down without even trying.
