Finally...SNOW
Enough snow to have to fire up the snowblower. And it must have gotten windy too. The wind blew the cover from my snowblower just before it started snowing :)

Besides that and a newsletter, nothing going on today :) It is the weekend before our long week.

For some reason all my sites are down. |cry| So my updates and submits for the day are on hold. My browser is just trying to load the page, no errors, 404, nothing. Hope to have it fixed soon.

Just submitting some stuff and after that it's the usual Saturday soccer game which will be a pain in the ass (well foot actually) since I have a big blister on my heel.

been raining in Arizona since yesterday morning and I'm here to tell ya arthritis being effected by weather is not a myth.
took a pain pill and passed out early last night woke up at 2:30 and was on a roll until all my sites went down like TechAngel

Got a few errands to run this morning, get to the bank before noon, then hitting the beach for a while if it warms up enough before heading to the 3 Doors Down bash tonight at the Hard Rock.

Got VIP tickets, but I hope it's over early so I can get rested up for the gumbo and thunder tomorrow in Nawlins.

I'm up a bit early despite a late night to buy Ozzy concert tickets for my brother-in-law as a Christmas gift. We did manage to get good seats for him so the wife is happy.

Damn, first day of snow blowing and it sucked. :) We have about 5 inches of snow I guess.

Cold mornings like this make me ask myself two questions:
1. Why haven't I finished running the duct work in this old house?
and
2. Why do I live here in the first place?

Note to self: if you live closer to the Labrador Sea than to Big Sur, life is not good.

I should probably spend some time picking up my junk from the yard, stowing the lawnmower, and shit like that, before the snow hits. Woohoo!

Well the rain in the Vegas Valley yesterday deposited Snow on Red Rock and our 1 local Mountain. Plus it knocked out my cable last night for about 45 minutes. However for years I have resisted networking my vast collection of electronics. Mainly because I know SHITE about it. but more and more it has become apparent to me that I needed to move further along. so after owning a Router for a year..i finally got it all hooked up with our laptop on wireless and the Xbox360 wired in.

and when the cable came back.. my internet did not. Cox told me that it was NOT their problem.. i was pinging ok. So this morning after many hours of frustration.. i unhooked my computer from the frigging router and put it back to the cable modem and WALLAH here I am.

anyway.. other than palms, banks and PO .. I think we're having cocktails tonight up at Red Rock so we can view the snow... it's the little things..

The rain here is over and it created a mess, as usual. No big mudslides but they did evacuate a couple canyons residents for a short time, just in case.

Time to close out last month and catch OTB, hopefully before we have guests show up.

Bitterly cold here today.. snowed all night so I'm sending BlueBrit out to do the driveway.. good thing we own 2 snowblowers:D

Well, thus far, none of that has gotten done. I made the joyous discovery that the drain pipes in my basement were leaking from multiple points. (Goddamned old piece of shit house!) So I had to disassemble some of the old 4 inch cast iron line and clear out a nasty blockage within the old trap. I put my arm in a trashbag to do that, but it seems that my trashbags are not air tight. Now, even after several scrubbings, my right hand smells like I've been fistfucking a group of homeless men.

yup, that was Las Vegas yesterday, cold, foggy and rain! you couldn't see the top of the stratosphere from right in front of it. we hadn't seen any rain for months. Summer monsoons are fine but fuck this rain with 40 degrees bullshit.
