AFF Question
 

I know Adult Friend Finder isn't the most popular sponsor out there, but I was just wondering, for those of you that use them, what kind of conversion ratios you are seeing for them. I don't send a lot of traffic to them, but my conversions with them blow everything else out of the water. I am converting about 1:81 for all time, and is working out to about .52 per click! I can't figure out what makes them convert so well

Use Dating Gold. They dont fund scum ware companies.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn Dating Gold support torrent sites?

I'm sure in the long run there is probably some dark side to many affiliate programs, but what I am perplexed about is why AFF converts so well, or if at least it seems to be converting as well for others.

Are those your own click stats or from AFF's admin?

Those are from AFF's admin... the same ones that originally screwed me and converted me from the pay per clicks to a percentage of sale... which has actually increased my pay per click ratio!

OK, next question... Do you trust that they are accurate?

Number of clicks ratios don't seem any different than other sites I promote. About the only difference I am seeing is they are way out selling the other sites.
That's what I was wondering about other webmasters, if they are having similar results. Maybe my traffic is more focused and looking for something like this |huh

Is that in favor or for worse? Would that be that shes converting better than 1:81 and skimming sales or is that to say that they are muffing the numbers to show a better conversion?

As I mentioned before, the traffic I am sending them isn't a whole lot. It just shocks me that I am get such frequent sales with them and not other programs that I send a lot more traffic. Maybe it targeted traffic, but I am no where close to a 1:81 ratio for any other site(heck... I am more in the 1:1000 on other sites). Last month I had a 1:49 ratio for AFF.

koolkat - thats a pretty average ratio for most of the dating sponsors that pay per click or per sale - Ive seen better and Ive seen worse but not my a huge difference

I'm not saying either, just asking a pertinent question, considering the source.

That's good news... maybe I need to start pushing dating sites more then since I seem to be having better luck with them over the other general sites.

Toby, yeah I totally knew where the source was coming from, and I was trying to see if there was an opinion either way. I think anyone would question the numbers from a company such as that..like you said either way..good and bad.

Any way you cut it, 1:81 is pretty good. KOOLKAT, is that the norm for you with AFF?

They have been a little varied... Here is what I have done since May when I got converted to the percentage from PPC

AFF is great converter. People like to fuck plain and simple. It would be bad if they didn't send you your checks. There prolly is some skimming going on somewhere along the lines. Who the hell knows.

Looks like good #'s Kat..do you use any other dating sites ? If so..Are they converting as good or close-to? The Sept and Nov #'s are great

The bottom line is, webmasters promoting them are shitting on everyone else.

It's kind of funny how many webmasters condem content and traffic theft yet promote the sponsors that support these sites.

I guess it's ok when you're making money out of it eh?

I dont promote AFF nor do I plan on it. I was just impressed with the numbers. What works for some doesnt always work for others.

I'll never touch AFF again, nor do I accept submissions promoting them. Fling works well for me. I promote it via NastyDollars, but I think they can be promoted through multiple sponsors somehow.

Dating converts fairly well, you just have to be carefull on which one you promote as apart from AFF, theres a few that will try and screw you with so called charge backs etc..

I use Fling as well. Actually fairly new addition. I havent been able to send the numbers yet to really see any pattern with conversions. But the traffic I do get to the pages I have any Fling material gets a great CTR. When I was researching what affiliates to pick up for dating I of course looked at AFF, but also did my research on the boards and elsewhere and found out the "truth" behind all the promises. I immediatly went on to look for better and more trustworthy partnerships.

Fling have a bad reputation too, full of fake profiles and scams.

Dating Gold sure doesn't care if your spam MySpace.

I have tried WildMatch and BangMatch but haven't had any luck with either
