Clinton and Obama

For some reason I think these are the only 2 Democrats that can't beat a Republican.

I saw a guy on the news the other night saying "I am not a racist but I am not putting a "colored man" in the Whitehouse". I think too many people in the US feel the same and would even say it the same way.

And, I believe that women (mostly older) will not vote for another woman.

Christ I wish Edwards had a better chance.

I think a lot of men are going to have trouble voting a women in as President. |crazy|

This world is still to full of racism to get a black man in office in my opinion |angry|

I wonder if that will stop Clinton from having Obama as vice president!

I like Clinton. That being said it seems like the republicans picked who would run for the democrats.

Jim 2007-12-12 10:14 AM

The Republicans picked who they want to run. Edwards seems like the smartest choice. Notice that most Republicans don't even talk about him. Could be because he is so far behind. Could be they know they would lose.

I just think having a Black Man or Woman run is a mistake.

A couple of weeks ago in Maine, a black friend at lunch said he knew it wasn't time for a black president -- just yet. His hope was that Edwards would win the nomination and take Obama as the VP. A Dem win he hoped would set the stage for a black president in 2012 or 2016. He also acknowledged that if anyone could lose it for the Democrats it would be Clinton. He said that people either seem to love her or hate her -- there's no in between.

Truthfully i want the Republicans to win again.. LET them clean up their own mess..instead of dumping it in some Dem's lap who get all the blame.. of course that is just in my goodhead because I certainly do not want to live under another 4 years of Bushisms or those who identify with him.

The problem is what if it is a Rudy vs. Hillary??? I think i'll move to Jamaica and wait it out.

This is what I've been saying for a long time. That while I have no problem voting for a black man or a woman as the next president it's my belief that there is a lot of people out there that think different and would have about anyone else in the office against either of those choices. It's sad but the truth I fear.

If I were American, I would vote Democrat for President in next election regardless of the candidate. Why, I would vote for the Party even if they were running a elf. Of course, if Dennis Kucinich wins the nomination then that would be true. I have a great respect for Kucinich though. Have you seen his wife Elizabeth? Quite a hottie and English at that. Kucinich married well. I used to think that Ron Jeremy was the luckiest gutterpup alive. Now I know it is Kucinich!

I don't think it should matter but I doubt the US citizens are ready to vote in a black guy. Too bad. But I prefer Hillary Clinton anyway and I doubt they are ready to vote in a woman neither. Seems like we're all screwed again.

Too bad Gore wouldn't run.

For Democrats, I've always liked Biden. I wish he had a chance, but he's a long shot. The dude with the hot wife that carries a pocket constitution is pretty good. I could care less if it's a woman, a black dude or whatever...but you're prolly right that it would be hard for them to get elected.

The ONLY Reoublican I would even consider voting for is Ron Paul. After the Terri Schiavo (this one hit home for me....) I realized how fucked the party had become. And afer 6 years of Republicans and their messes, how can you trust them?

Of course neither of the two parties controlled by corporate interest motivates me to get out and vote. I am not optomistic about the future of the USA when I see who we run as potential leaders. I just shake my head....

I'd like to see either Obama or Edwards. Hillary is too republicanized at this point. The Clintons are now tight with the Bushes and their crew. Plus, thirty-six years of having a Bush or Clinton continuously in the White House is too much. We may as well have a monarchy.

An Obama/Edwards or Edwards/Obama ticket would suit me just fine. Both are intelligent, well spoken Democrats. Though I have always liked Edwards, my first choice would be Obama. I just love yelling OBAMA! There's also the fact that I know it would make all of the true racists and anti-Muslims go nuts. Things like that bring me no small amount of joy. |loony|
