Is there an adult "ad sense"?

I was just wondering if there were adult options to ad sense? Ive got a few domains that Im not developing right this minute and thought of adding some type of PPC to them?

Thanks

You can check out Adbrite and Miva used to have some kind of adult ad product, but I'm not sure if they do now. It looks like Miva redesigned and I was unable to find anything related to adult on it now.

I used to use Adbrite but stopped because I didn't like some of the sites they sold advertising to

As already mentioned there are a few places out there. My experience is they are a waste of time. You might be better off putting up a few pages for a movie site or promo free ezines on em. I have one domain that I just categorized free ezines on that brings in a few bucks a week. Not much but it didn't required much work either. :D

Thanks for the input. Could an alternative be using a full page layout with a mix of text and image links to a variety of sponsors..maybe some free galleries , email sign ups, etc.- all price levels - free, $1, $6, $30+. ?

Someone mentioned Clicksor was good for adult stuff - but I can't vouch for it cos I haven't tried them.

Is a domain root I wasn't using, so I put up a big ass ad for AEBN that's doing OK for me, all hosted freebie stuff. Even picked up some PR from some SSI's aimed at it.
Couple of hours of work is ok by me for a couple of dollars daily afterwards :D
Maybe throw up a bunch of POD's or a fake TGP?

Yeah, I would go with Sheepguy's advice there. Have tried the adbrite adult version and it's not comparable to Adsense, and for a good reason too. Thing is, in my experience, adult clicks are not worth more than couple of cents usually. Think about your ratios, with most sponsors you get about 1:1500 or so, right? And that generates say an average of $30, if you're lucky. That's 2 cents a click there. Now, the network has to take its share, and it has to be a good chunk if they want to keep the network clean of fraud (which would drive potential advertisers away) and that takes a lot of work. Leaving maybe a cent per click, tops. With some programs having even worse ratios, you won't get too many advertisers willing to pay more than 1-2 cents a click, leaving very little for the publisher. In short, not as profitable as adsense, no matter how you look at it.

Sounds good to me. |thumb

As Tigermom said, adult clicks just aren't worth as much as mainstream clicks.

Thanks for the reassurance Lowry - sometimes no matter how good the idea sounds its always good to hear someone else say it "OK"
