WP 231 and java script problem
I am playing with BA and WP on http://blog.gonzoperv.com and if BA is making a post, it all looks good. If I go to edit the post in WP the java script video is not showing up anymore.
Take a look, the first two posts are just the way BA posted them, the others I edited in WP to add categories, and they should have a video also, but it does not show up. Any ideas? Could it be the version of WP I am using? |
I'm not going to be much help TA I'm really not up to speed on WP.
All I can suggest is try doing your editing in BA before posting|huh |
The only thing I can offer off the top of my head this morning is to be sure whether you're using the advanced HTML editor in either or both WP and BA. I've had a few problems with losing something in a post (pic, video) after editing that post and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the advanced editing features, and usually that means I was using the advanced editor but acting like I was editing plain text. You might try editing a post both ways and see what changes for you.
HTH a little. :) |
I think the problem lies with what Simon said. Don't use the Visual Rich Editor, or whatever the hell they're calling it today, if you are adding code in your posts. It'll strip some of your code tags and thusly kill it.
|
Hmmm...
I used to build in an html editor and paste it into wordpress and it still would mess up the code. This was a LONG time ago though, definitely in an older version. |huh |
My 2c, Simon and UW hit it on the head. The visual rich editor will fuck everything that is formated up. Turn it off and you should be OK.

BA - what is this ?

Thanks everyone, but I did not touched the code. All I did was edit the category and save. So, how do I turn the editor off?
I also copied the good code and pasted on a different blog with an older version of WP and same thing. Then again, I probably had the damn rich editor on. :( |
It's in your user profile. There is a check box. On the old versions of WP it was at the bottom. On WP 2.21 its on the top. Both say "Use the visual editor when writing"
|
That was it, all good now. Thanks All!|bananna|
