advise: how to promote a web prog

advise: how to promote a web prog

I run www.MrBan.com.

My sites convert and I do have affiliates promoting them.

But I am after more.

To be honest I am surprised people have not bitten my arm of to promote all 6 sites. for instance all the content I have shot, so its not your bought stuff. I guess if would have been cheaper for me to buy it all, but to me I wanted to be exclusive.

But such as www.XBBabes.com, its fairly unique. People tend to sign up out of curiosity.

Plus such as www.PoshWife.com is different in that these babes are posh totty.

Anyway, I really would like to be a bigger player on the net and have far more affiliates. So tell me what you want or what I should do.

I know some big sites offer free gifts, but lets face it these sites are often pushed to death and so sales are much harder.

Buy ads on message boards, trade magazines, etc. Go to conventions, shows, etc. & get booth/ads there. Sponsor events, offer webmaster referral money....I can't think of any more off the top of my head.

I had a look at your sites. Some sure do have an interesting concept, but some of the tours are quite dull (the paintballs one for example). Still, they're CCBill, which should work for you, being a small program.

What convinces me into joining a new sponsor are testimonies from other affiliates, preferably word of mouth, given privately. I think as a program owner, you need more presence on the main adult webmasters boards, with constant helpful posting about the business and a link to your program in your signature. Mention something about your good ratios or how much your webmasters make per click, and other selling points. Do that constantly, or, like Greenie said, become a forum sponsor and pay for advertising. Either way, I think AWM boards are a great way to get your program known.

Get some decent promo tools for starters. (that replace the xxxxxx with your aff id# stuff has got to go)

Then go and get your site listed on all the sites like freehostedgalleries.com, sponsorhostedgalleries.com, remtethumbs, etc etc etc

Then get some RSS feeds, and get listed on those resource sites.

Again with Hosted Free Sites.

Also once you have all these tools you can get one of the board trackers and have it send you an alert when someone is looking for one of your types of sites or tools.

You can also do what we I am doing now.

Cheers,
BV

I haven't looked at the other sites yet, but on your PoshWife site you have one misspelling on your warning page and two misspellings in your header graphic(s) on your main page.

"Posh Wives" is plural, meaning more than one Posh Wife.

"Posh Wife's" is possessive and refers to a single wife and needs a reference to something she possesses.

You want the plural in your header but you're using the possessive, which may hurt a bit with both surfer and webmaster signups since some people are real pains in the ass about proper spelling and grammar.

:)
