Im a total NewB when it comes to blogs, but I thought no time like the present..so I signed up with Sensual Writer..is there a way to add small sponsor banners to the side columns? or change the top right corner image of a theme with a square banner the same size?

Twan posts here once in awhile but I'm sure you will get your question answered faster on his board.
You know most link lists aren't going to list you because your using a free blog hosting service, anything free gets abused sooner or later.

Yes, just go to Presentation > Widgets > create a Text widget and paste your banner code in the text widget. Don't forget to drag your Text widget to the left/right sidebar.That one depends on the template you have chosen. Which template did you pick?

Don't worry about this one, your blog is going to be listed at 30 PR4-5 matured blog directories without any problems ( http://www.adultblogresource.com/submitter/ ) . And about 50 more are accepting thumblogger/sensualwriter blogs, just search the support forum for those.

T pat thanks for the advice. i do have a full domain set up, with WP, just havent published it yet as Im getting my content ready so as its not "bald" im trying to get my feet wet and Twan has always been up front with me, just hadnt heard back so i threw it out there. Im trying all avenues I can.

I feel the need to clarify a few things
I knew my income was going to take one hell of a hit over 2257 in fact I went on my last real bender over it. I posted yesterday that I cried like a baby when my grandma died, my wife saw me cry another time, tears ran down my checks when I got back from a three day drunk in Mexico and saw Tommy was the only link list sending me traffic, killing off all of my free sites hurt.
Since then I have been one paranoid asshole and will never trust the Government or put contol over anything I build in the hands of someone else.
I have great respect for Twan he has built a real empire, hope he's putting money away it won't last.
What if Twan should get killed in a car accident, or google catches someone posting CP or maleware on one of his free hosted blogs? The whole thing will tumble like a house of cards.
If it's free some assbite will find a way to fuck it up for all, it's a fact of the business.
Easily 9 out of 10 Thumblogger blogs are inactive or not viewed on a regular basis, that tells me it's the hobbiests and part timers using the free hosting and most have given it up.
At one time the first thing I did with a new blog was add it to Twan's sign up to 15 top lists at once thing, the little traffic I get back isn't worth the outgoing links (I get more traffic link dumping a couple times a day).

I was thinking the same thing. You can never be 100% safe with someone else in control.

Sadly I've seen so many crap, rss feed, pure junk, massive pumped out free hosted blogs, it's incredible. I don't see how it will not eventually backlash. On another board there was a big group going by the assumption of creating massive numbers of blogs, just to make a few bucks off each.

I agree too, the traffic is not like it use to be on those toplists.

On the BO board there's a guy complaining about creating 3500 blogs and that it takes the script to long to load. He's definitely in the quantity over quality camp.|crazy|

I keep waiting for someone to pump out thousands of splogs on blogger and the rest of the free hosted blog services with BA, sure seems like a lot of work for something that won't last and will give little reward |huh

The one I saw, think the goal was like $5, had to be $5 a month. Can't see any of those making $5 a day.

What I don't understand how people think they can automate so much and still get SE attention, least long term. You can't write just a little and have 100's of posts, least not quality original ones.
