Links on link lists

Are submitters allowed to link to folders (i.e. /go/sitename ) that redirect the visitors to the sponsor tour page? I would like to use a clicktracking script that does that. Moreover I don't like linking directly to the tour page because sponsor link codes look "ugly" and it would be nice to be able and switch the link codes to different tour styles to maximize traffic conversions.
I guess they are not allowed because of cheating but wouldn't it be best to give out trused submitter accounts to board members (maybe even for a small fee) and allow things like that then?

Why are you assuming that this & java are banned from ALL Link Lists?

I don't care what you link to with the 3 ad/page - people have linked to FPA's on their domains for YEARS & I've never heard of a Link List that had a problem with this.

Lazy as far as the "ugly" affiliate codes, I think most LL's allow for mouse over links to hide affiliate codes, but the surfer must know where they are headed...You cant have them think they are going to one place and have them end up somewhere completely different.

But it would be easy to redirect the surfers by simply changing the index.php file in the linked folder (in my case). Therefore I assume that the risk of cheaters doing this has caused a rule that forbids links like that.

Well in my case I link to domain.com/go/sitename.com
the word "go" and the url in the folder should indicate a surfer that he gets redirected to the paysite. Moreover I write "Visit paysite name" or "Take the tour" in my anchor text.

Like I said, people have been doing it that way for YEARS - it's not a new concept.

Same goes for a banner/click tracking script as well as most affiliate program links - they all redirect to a different URL.

If you want to fuck over your surfers by sending them to some console hell or CJ site instead of the paysite, that's your business.
