What is the best way to stop sending my traffic to a specific sponsor?

I was thinking on the title for a while, maybe its a bit misleading, I try to describe the situation:

When I started submitting I was promoting only one sponsor for a year. Nowadays this sponsor is having issues with content providers and has no fresh content on the sites - for some sites they just recycle old content.

Because of this my old galleries from 2005 do have banners with promises which are completely false. I don't want to mislead/scam surfers, but I know that simply deleting my old galleries can be a problem, they are linked to many places.

Do you have any suggestions?

Leave them and forget about them. Over time traffic will die down so it's not a big deal.

Can't you replace the content and banners from another sponsor that's targeting the same niche?

That's a lot of work for "archived" galleries. If you have a gallery getting a lot of traffic then maybe for the odd one. But to do them all, don't waste your time. Spend that time building new galleries and submitting them.
