The second page installs some kind of dialer bullshit that resides in the system tray. Looks pretty easy to remove, but who knows what else it does.

I didn't do a whois, just deleted and sent a really nasty email.

I wonder if the host could be inserting the code for the autoinstall. The submitter responded to the rejection email with a "what the hell are you talking about" sort of reply. Of course, who knows what that means.

Gnat, if you are building free sites you are probably getting a few signups to. Try using a virtual host if you aren't using one already. If you make 1 signup of $30 you can pay the most basic virtual host for 3 months or so.

Sorry if you already knew this, for all I know you could own your own hosting company or so :)

Gnat, glad you came over here and made your case. Sorry about the nasty email, but that stuff really sets me off. I would definitely take Fonz's advice and get a virtual account somewhere. Those are mega affordable these days.

Cleo and MML, I don't think we disagree on free hosts, I don't list em either. I think we just disagree on the definition of what one is. But it's all good. :)
