Sponsor management

I started out keeping my sponsors login info on an Excel spreadsheet which has turned into an unorganized monster, with two or three versions on various computers. Any good options to help get shit together?

I'm sure Greenie will have a solution for you. He is a touch anal when it comes to organization. :)

Oops! I had a long post on here, but then noticed that you said "login" & not just "sponsor info"

I spread sheet is a good idea - I have them on a text file, but it's tab'd, so I can import it into xl if I wanted to.

Create a master & make copies onto an external drive every now & then.

Thanks Greenie. I saw a script somewhere that kept a neat little database on the server. I could probably publish an Excel spreadsheet to my server as well to keep everything centralized.

Robo form works well for me with logins
also makes submitting a tad bit easier
not sure if this helps

I use xls, in which I log : sponsor, url, login, pass, payment type, min payment amount, notes.
I also use Nifty Stats, which is a free tool I Can Not live without. If you are paranoid it can be scary, but it keeps all your login infos on your machine and it is free because of the banners.

One thing I add to my Excel spreadsheet is a column for the email I used when I signed up. That can help if you need to have your password reset and sent to you. Plus I almost always signup using an email address like "sponsor-name@mytrackingdomain.com" so I can filter their incoming emails directly into a folder and, maybe more important, I can be pretty sure when someone has sold/rented/traded my email address.

Make sure you password-protect the file. In fact, I prefer to use KeePass so that my passwords are all encrypted. It's also useful for managing the zillion other passwords I have all over the place.

Thanks all, good info!

I use StatsRemote. Once you add all your sponsors all you have to do is backup a couple of files.
