Viruses In E-mail

Lately my Avast anti-virus software has been going off a lot more than before notifying me of worms and other viruses in e-mails. I haven't noticed any sending e-mail that keeps reappearing. Seems to be different addresses. Is there anything I can do to get someone's account pulled or something?

Basically, No. It's just one of those you'll have to get used to.

Use a Mac |cleo| or Linux.

It was a long time ago when I had to fight viruses, but some days ago a shit called "AVSystemCare" attacked me and it took half day to get rid of this crap. Nod32, AVG, Ad-aware could not help... Some crazy free "ComboFix" finally solved the issue..

I am seriously thinking of moving to a Mac if Chameleon Submitter & Photoshop runs on it it can be a deal :D

Peace

I use Nod32, Avast, and webroot and those three have protected me pretty well...I had to get away from Macfee and Norton, it seemed like there were to many issues with them and other other software programs...I don't know what you can do to protect yourself other than watch out for your behaviors...I still don't read emails from people I don't know...I'm sure I've missed a MILLION excellent opportunities to get some free money from africa after an empire fell if I just give them my account number to help them transfer funds into the US, but that's okay...I'll be fine

You can always dual boot or use a virtual manager to run Windows for the apps that a Mac (or Linux) can't run. Hey, I shouldn't be writing this, Cleo should! :D

I use a pre-screener, MailWasher Pro, to review message headers and delete spam email before it ever gets downloaded to my InBox. It has cut my virus alerts to almost zero.
