What are some real bad conversins you have had w/ some sponsors w/ link lists traffic? (on free sites)

Well for now my worst is 0:2500 with some sponsor I dont want to name because I dont want to make them a bad repuation, since some ppl are doing great with them...

What are some of your better sponsors converting at and what's your average?

Well I've promoted 3 sponosors for now,

First is like steady 1:500 second is 1:1100 (the thread about it is on general board) and third is 0:2500 :)

This was July with a sponsor I was averaging 1:500-600 for 5 months prior. :(

Don't think I've had worse than that for a sponsor I send decent hits to.

What do you believe the factors are when something like this happens?

Shaving? Over satuaration?

The sponsor offers a lot of free content so I'll "go with" over saturation.

But at the August show I was a little pissed so it's good I didn't see him there.

I remember this cause just had to wonder if it was a screwup, but anyway that sponsor now is 1:242 and over 70 signups.

Often poor ratios are a result of sending the wrong traffic to the wrong program. I've done really bad with a site and then later on fed it traffic from a different source and did great with it.

I don't really worry about ratios. A bad ratio just means I need to try something else.

It was on a free host so it wasn't my dime. But I had invested my time building the damn thing. I incorporated the gallery into a site that has made me pocket change since. ;)

With one sponsor, I think it's the one people are talking about I have got so far 0:1101, dosnt mean much though I guess some people get that many hits per day...
I havn't had my sites up long enough to notice, not even 2 weeks but I can tell you my best conversions from my other sponsors!

the problem with trying to analyze too deep into the conversions - other than discovering a real problem like a bad link code is that there are so many outside influences - is it winter, college time, middle of summer, whats the mood of your target surfers, are you targetting the right niche for the traffic youre getting...even inside a sponsor Ive seen them have really good conversions on one site and shit on another - way too many variables - I think if I got to 10K hits to a sponsor with LL traffic and didnt see any signups Id start looking a little harder from both ends :)

Oh as for conversions I did really well recently...

had some steady 1:300 on one sponsor with 16 signups
other is also nice with 1:480 with looots more signups :-)
but some are like 1:470 but its worth shit because they rev-share trials so I have 8 signups and like $30 :(

Ratio's dont really mean shit... too many variables with traffic... its all differnet...

What really counts is the money you bank... and the out going costs you have... and the end of the day profit with your business

I have converted 1:2000... but made a damn heap

and then I have converted 1:30 and made $35 LOL

Hmm, I guess my current worst is with PimpRoll but it ain't that bad actually: something like 1:500 not too bad. However, my best was also with PimpRoll 1:20

My worst is my first Gay Twink site - almost 10000 hits to sponsor but no sign-up.

Best must be 1:0 I have been having almost half a year now. That is a sponsor I have only listed in my hub, I have never bult any sites or pages to them. I got one sign-up to their lesbian site and same surfer has been a member almost 6 months now. He/she must really love lesbians.

Hehe same thing here, I had a sponsor that converted bad for me so I changed to some other one and I had like 1-2 hits a day to the old one, and then converted like 1:1 ... couple of days later 1:2 :)

0/3665 I finally pulled links after that. It was on a category page to, with targeted traffic. Guess my surfers just didn't want what they were selling, lol.

I agree with Kezza, I have some sponsors with bad ratios I leave up because I consistently make good money with them. My premium AVS sites have the best ratios, but I send so little traffic to them, I don't make a lot of money, and they are niches that appeal to a very small audience. So that is a good example of why looking at ratios doesn't always make you the most money.

My favorite is I have one surfer that signed up in June, 2001 on a 50/50 rev share, and is still a member. I don't make a lot per rebill but DAMN, I've had a lot of rebills.|smooch|

Nope. I don't like to mention names because conversions go up and down all the time.

But I haven't promoted them at all lately because they dropped their per signup model. So just with old free sites and galleries I was this for April:
4431 hits - 6 sales- 1/739 - $19.71 income
Gotta love a site dropping per signup when they convert from trial to monthly so well. |jester|

0:4290 and still going on, with a sponsor very loved here wich I will not name. And this wasn't TGP traffic but LL and SE exclusively. |pissed| I said still going on because I am keep it on few old free sites which are getting like 100 hits/day. Don't ask me why |sad|
