A Question For Webmasters With FaceBook
I put this in the chit chat section because it is a general question and really not about adult.
Like instant messaging, I find FaceBook really annoying. I guess I am not very social! As a webmaster of adult and non-adult sites, I feel like I need to be there to keep up on current trends. Can any FaceBookers tell me whether there are possibilities to make money from it or should ignore it like I am inclined to do? Jesus |buddy|, I hate getting e-mails "so and so wants to be your friend" or "so and so wants you to join this group". If I want a friend I'll do it the old fashion way and talk face to face to someone! Thanks. |
Hey artwilliams - I'm pretty sure you can turn off email notifications in your settings, or profile - they annoy the shit out of me also, so I asked a friend who told me you can do this - I haven't yet which is why I aren't posting a guide on how to do it.
You can make money by using: facebook.com/ads Its a little like Google adwords, but you can target age groups, male/female, countries etc - but they're much tighter on their guidelines and I haven't checked to see if you can advertise adult stuff... there are a lot of dating ads though, I've seen them. You can also make a Facebook app: facebook.com/apps/ Then you can add some advertising on there or think of some other way of monetising it - but it seems most of them don't - so I don't know why people have made them |huh |
Seems it would be similar to making money with myspace. Getting people that use the service to your affiliate programs.
I don't get any "friend Adds" from face book, but enough from spammers on myspace. |
