I'm trying to determine how important comments are on a real blog with goolge/SE and rankings.

Could I get some questions about body modification via comments on my latest post?

I really do know what i'm talking about in the body mod arena. so ask away.

My anti-virus alerted me on that page "HTML/Rce.gen". Then my browser hung.

I wouldn't know why, no one else has ever had that problem. Its just wordpress.

Tried again, no problem now. Last time the wearning was in an html file with "ad" in it. maybe an embedded ad?

Anyway right now I can load it ok.

BD, you are infected with something.. I got redirected to an "security software" pop up and java warning....

It was not present on second visit to site... so I would say you have infection on your server... I have done no further investigation...

I wonder if WordPress pings out again when comments are approved/posted. I'm going to look into that.

I would recommend putting your RSS AND your comments RSS into Feedburner (which is Google-owned). Of course, Google gets pinged by WordPress when you post something new. But putting your comments RSS in Feedburner shouldn't hurt (especially if WP doesn't re-ping). Theoretically you'd think it's letting a server at Google know when you have a new comment.

I think i found it, it was infected. All fixed now, could you recheck?

Even if it doesn't ping, google will notice the new text the next time it crawls.
