i hate to ask but ....
I am an old timer that is trying to get back in the biz after being out for the last 4 years. -- was in the biz for 5 wonderful years.
but I have came across a couple of questions that I cannot seem to get answered Does AVS still work? -- I am not impressed in what I am seeing avs wise plus as much free content out there available to surfers -- why bother?? yes it is qualified credit card carrying surfers -- but the few sites i have tested -- next to nothing traffic wise -- am I wrong here? I see the benefits of building plats but not doing daily submits -- I would really like some feedback on this -- second question -- free site templates -- how many times should i use the same one? third question -- what is an ideal number of posts to make per day to each blog you run -- i am thinking 3 but i have seeing some as much as 20 per day -- any good blog management software out there? -- I am looking for something that will take rss feeds and allow me to distribute them posts by posts between different blogs -- combined with my own posts -- any help in this arena will help -- i left before ever attempting any blogs -- so this is virgin territory for me i think that covers it for the moment thanks |

If you depend on AVS's to send you traffic from their internal linklists, it ain't going to happen. Like every other part of the adult biz, you have to build your own traffic now. The good ole days are over. I still build premium sites and still do well, but I build traffic outside of the AVS company hits. They still retain like stink on a skunk so I still build them. Also, with all of the free content out there available to surfers -- Why would you think advertising paysites on freesites would be any more lucrative? |huh |

In regards to free site templates - my suggestion is build 31 templates and use one a day for a month then rotate - if the reviewers see the template too many times they will just decline the freesite or worse they might blacklist your domains.
Just changing the colors, and site title doesnt constitute a "new template" ... make sure they are all different layouts. |roses| |
I remember your nick.
Ha ha ha, personally, I wish more people were leaving the business. Crap, I was gonna do some niche avs testing, see if they had new traffic, ha ha. |
I seem to remember that nick also. I'm thinking PornWorx?

Wordpress is the most popular blogging software - it comes with tons of plug-ins, and some handle RSS feeds. You may want to do some research just about that topic on the boards, and even try more than one, to see what works best for you. I think 3 posts a day is a bit too much. I would go with 2-7 posts a week and you can do more than one blog. Try to focus on a niche - my general blogs attract lots of traffic but don't produce too many sales. There's tons of info on blogging in the blogging forum - do your research before you launch the blogs is my advice. And welcome back :) |

I too do AVS sites, mostly CyberAge premium sites for rebills, and have just started building some free AVS sites for SexKey. I make a lot of my income in AVS so it does work. :D
But like everyone says, you have to treat them like paysites and promote them with free sites / blogs/ and/or tgp galleries. And like free sites, I have made a lot of templates for my AVS TGP galleries, and I rotate each site I promote daily, (I have quite a few) so the the TGP's don't see the same site/template promoted day in and day out. |thumb |

For blog management you cant go wrong with Blog Organizer or Blog Automater Blog Organizer is for multiple blog maintenance and does work well with WordPress. It also is capable of some RSS functions but if you want the mother of all when it comes to RSS feeds Blog Automater is it. Since the gentleman who developed these scripts is also an adult webmaster they work well in the adult market. |
