Directory Script

I am planning a niche mainstream directory and want to sell listings to online/offline businesses.

I am looking for a script ,

I am looking at a PHPLD , how does that differ from a link list script like LinX or Dragonlist?

Anyone know anything about using Joomla and using a directory component to do this?

I have no experience with Joomla plugins, but I am very happy with a script that I use for various directories: http://scripts.webmastersite.net/wsnlinks/
It can be run dynamic or generate static pages. One of it's features allows links to be sponsored.

Esyndicat is the directory I use and they have great customer service. You can either buy one domain license or an unlimited license. They're worth investigating. Link in is my signature.

We could use an extra programmer/script writer too; are there many in this forum? Just signed up today

It's free and a lot of webmasters are using PHPLD. I'm still kinda learning how to integrate the script to one of my sites. Seems pretty easy though. There is a service that helps with the install. If you have a few bucks they can do it for you.

I'm testing both Esyndicat and PHPLD, you can look at the links in my sig.
I've haven't done much with either as I'm finishing another project but I will give Esyndicat credit... if you have a problem and post in the forums, most likely you'll get someone to log into your server and fix it for you.
