So I was checking one of my blogs stats....
 

and was pretty happy. The amount of traffic on the blog was respectable. It's one of the ones that I started early as a real blog and converted to a RSS Fed blog. But then I looked at my referers and 8 of the top 10 are fucking comment spammers.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Death penalty to spammers|acid

Reminds me of something that happened to me recently. I saw a huge boost in traffic to a couple of my blogs - around 300% increase. Then I look closer and see that it's just my (recently implemented) uptime tracker bot checking every 5 minutes to see if the host is reachable. So I feel for you man.

Yesterday one of my blogs had 200 comment spams alone..much fun.

That's really annoying.... when I look at my logs I see a lot of blank referrer (which is also non-bot) traffic. It always makes me wonder whether it's genuine traffic or not.

Just as I was complaining about 200..I have a mainstream blog that is under attack with comments. It has over a thousand blank comments posted (but rejected by me) yesterday alone.

I have this plugin that shows me how many people are on my blog and what page they are looking at. Always shows up a 2 year old post. Must be a popular page for those comment spammers. Good thing there's Askismet :)
