Question re post numbers

So when I started this blog, www.adigital-fantasy.com , I set it up the way it has 5 posts per page. Now I am realizing min 10 of them would be better.
Can I change it now or is it too late? I mean it can effect searches and so on.
Please advise.. thanks!

I think it's pretty safe to go ahead and change it. The only searches it would affect is your index page and it's always in flux anyway.

Thank you very much :)

I just switched it back to 5 per page because it loads much faster.

I've thought many times of trying excerpts on adult blogs, might be interesting. Think it looks a little better, not as squirreled out as regular blog. Plus you could have more posts on main page and still have a small index and faster loading.

I wonder to if it would keep surfers longer. Instead of scrolling through everything till they find something, or more likely leave, before they get to something good. I know I don't always feel like scrolling through a long blog.

Or better, my favorites theme's, magazine theme's.

Guess what I has tried it... and it pretty much reminded me of tube sites layouts. Lots of small thumbs do better imho.

In my opinion if your are going to do excerpts you have better be very good at writing teaser text. I know I really have to be sucked in order to "click here for more".

Very True. It would also help greatly if the theme you used put up a thumb for the excerpt.

But do you also find scrolling through blogs to be tedious? Just wondering.

Fair point other than I don't think I ever just browse a blog. Usually when I land on a blog I'm either searching out something specific or I read it on a regular basis.

Nice blog - I've used that template a few time and really like it - I even made a full-width footer graphic and fixed all the leaks on the footer and elsewhere.

You mean mine, papa? I was thinking of it too just wasn't sure how to fix it properly.

You got the idea! Now just some thumb nails to draw them in. And SEO! lol

I saw a great example yesterday, to get me some ideas.

Just a little suggestion.. On your posts with alot of text, break up the paragraphs more. Most people shy away from huge blocks of text, looks like too much work.

Just a thought..:)
