Apple and Movies

I need to cut some WMV movies that I got from a sponsor, to use on free sites. I've been looking for a program to do that, and I came up with Final Cut Express and Flip4Mac.

Is Flip4Mac Pro going to let me cut WMV files and save them so they are usable on free sites? What format should I save them in? I am kinda confused with all the formats used, mov, mpg, mp4 etc...

All help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have some other software recommendations, please let me know. I am totally confused! |banghead|

Final Cut Express and Flip4Mac is what I use to edit movies and then I drop them on Episode Pro to turn them into mpeg-1 (mpg) movies.

Wow, another $400, it ads up quick. I was hoping I can do it with Final Cut Express and Flip4Mac only. I guess I will wait a while. :(

Thanks Cleo

There may be cheaper ways to do it but I already own Episode Pro since I also do the movies for a couple of paysites so I needed something that would add watermarks to the movies and do multiple formats. (mpg, wmv, h.264)

I think there is a version of Flip4Mac that outputs wmv files but due to not being able to protect against hotlinking them via htaccess I don't use them anyplace other then inside of member's areas.

Most sources of traffic only accept mpg or wmv movies.
