Good Thursday Morning

Good Morning
I know it's been a while but I did have quite a big set back. You may remember that my sister in law stayed with us for the last 3 months of Vickie's life. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I discovered she has been stealing a lot of things. The biggest was 2 of Vickie's rings that I put in a velvet bag to go to our daughter and when I did reach her, there were no rings to be found. This was a person I called, "our angel". Up until last week there was no real proof. And then I found my Mother's jewelry missing and went through my sister in law's room. I found many of Vickie's things...ie...Gucci watches, sun glasses, ear rings...etc.

That was enough and I told her to get out. During this weekend, we did find one of my wife's rings in my sister in law's bedroom while cleaning.

And then, I got either a bad cold or the flu. I felt a little better yesterday but today it's back as strong as ever.

But anyway...have a good day guys.

Good morning,

Sorry to hear about all those nasty things Jim, I hope you're feeling better soon.

It's a lovely day outside but still I prefer to stay indoors. Besides from the usual routine I think I won't be doing much today. I recorded "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" Yesterday so that's what I may watch in a few hours. Never seen that movie before. It's supposed to be a good one.

Have a good day all.

ArtWilliams 2008-07-24 08:21 AM

Sorry to hear that Jim. I am sure that many of us can relate to that. Having a family member pass on can bring out the worst in people. I remember my mom saying that when her mom - my grandmother - died, her sister went over to the house first and stripped it of any thing valuable. Now, my grandmother wasn't rich but that is not the point. I often think of what a big person my mother was because she forgave her sister for what she did. Man, relatives can sure fuck you around.

Have a great day everyone!

I think liars and thieves are the people I hate most.

Went crabbing with my son yesterday and got 12. |buddy| Buddy went with us and his blessing helped full our traps. The pics are here

lorsha 2008-07-24 08:24 AM

Very sad indeed Jim. What was she thinking ...

Still raining here. Will we ever see the sun again. Have a good day everyone. |waves|

Good Morning and Happy Thursday Everyone!

That just sucks Jim. I could never understand why family steals from one another. I have a brother that is no longer allowed in my home.

I spent the day at the clinic yesterday and now I have meds to take for brochitis, uggh.

Have a good one.

Cleo 2008-07-24 08:55 AM

Wow, if it was just her sister's jewelry I could kind of understand her logic, not that it would be right, but her also stealing your mother's stuff makes her just a low life bottom feeder common thief.

Had Christine run me over to Pep Boys to pickup a new battery for my car last night so after not having a car for two days due to a bad battery. I'll be doing all the stuff that I wasn't able to do for the last two days starting with going to the gym today.

docholly 2008-07-24 09:05 AM

Morning ...
That's about all I got.. tho my MILFY-camhoe did come over yesterday.. but as usual.. only some candids were taken.. and as usual, I fail to understand why people claim to "Want/need" money yet cannot motivate themselves to find/make it.

Back to work.. have a good one.. |waves|

Good Morning,

Sorry to hear that Jim, it is bad when someone is stealing from you but it is worst when it is family. It is good to see you on the board, hope you feel better.

I feel a bit better today, I got about 10 hr of sleep, and got up tired. At least my fever is gone and with it my headache. I think I will be good in a couple of days, at least I hope so, being sick just sucks.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

MrMaryLou 2008-07-24 09:07 AM

Mornin All
That's fucked up Jim
After My wife's mother passed away from cancer her father took off traveling for a couple of months, when he came back home he discovered someone had stolen all of his wifes jewelry, they never did find out who the thief was but only a friend or a family member would have known where it was hidden.
I'm feeling a little better today, so I'll try and get caught up again
Coffee's On

Morning!

That really sucks Jim sorry you had to deal with that on top of everything else. Glad your back posting though |thumb

It's a nasty day here right now, but they are claiming it will clear up for the afternoon.

Have a nice day all!

You always hear about the ugliness and the greed that appears after someone passes and you're happy that your own family would never behave that way. Then someone dies and it happens just like everyone said it would. I actually take comfort in the fact that my parents have nothing that I'd ever want. If I showed up to their home after their funeral to find that my brother had changed the locks, I'd say, "fine. You get to clean up that fucking mess. See ya." Families are ugly.

When my mother-in-law passed, the only thing my wife, her only daughter, wanted, was her ring. Being that she was there and had helped nurse her mom during her last days, and her step father wanted nothing, he made sure that she got the ring. But her older brother showed up later asking where the ring was. Apparently he felt it made more sense for him to have it to keep for his own daughter some day. My wife kept it and told him that maybe some day she'd give it to him, but he then made the mistake of saying that it only makes sense, since she had no daughters. What? Um, we have the oldest daughter of the grandchildren. Of course, she's MY daughter and my wife's step-daughter, but that was enough. I doubt very much that her BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN brother will ever take possession of that ring. I told my wife, if you die before me, which I doubt, I'm having you cremated with the ring on. Yup, I'd rather let some strange crematorium owner keep the ring and sell it on eBay than let my brother-in-law have it. |thumb

Three or four days later - l've lost count - and it's still raining here in Dirty Undies, NY. If it keeps raining like this, they may have to change the name to Clean Undies or, at the very least, Really Well Rinsed Undies. I should probably go outside and risk electrocution in order to pump some water out of my big tin pool. The water level is almost at the deck height and already above the skimmer (which means that all of the dead bugs it trapped are now floating around under the solar blanket -ARGH!).

Good Morning :)
Sorry to hear that Jim and wish you better days ahead.

Bunch of work and thats about it from the land of smog and no rain.

cd34 2008-07-24 11:16 AM

I am never amazed when a death in the family brings out someone's true character. One uncle of mine passed recently, and the first question I heard after notifying some family was -- I wonder who gets the house, or is it going to be sold and the money split up? It wasn't, "oh, I feel terrible for his girlfriend or his brothers", but, pure greed. Had the items been kept for mementos or remembrance I might understand that need to take something that had some deep personal meaning. I don't think Gucci sunglasses fit that criteria. Jim, I'm glad you're staying strong through all of this.

Finishing some code and beta testing it today.... my internal deadline MIGHT still be able to be met if I have done my coding properly. I wanted to be a little further along than I am, but, I feel pretty good about it.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday.

bDok 2008-07-24 11:19 AM

Morning. Going to see the Dark Knight on the imax in an hour. It was the only time available. :/ I gotta go see it today too as my girlfriend's brother leaves today and he really wanted to see it. So it's off to a morning movie we all go. After I get back from it I'll be working away on more boring data entry as well as putting a tour into place for someone else so they can get visa approved.

Sorry to hear about the news Jim.

Have a good day everyone.

Cheers.

LeRoy 2008-07-24 11:44 AM

Good morning all.

Yes Jim. People do some fucked up shit after a death.

My wife's grandmother came over to our house 6 months before she died. She gave us the title to her car and a note. She said that her father and aunt will screw her after she dies. So here is the car... . She ended up totaling the car before passing. The note was sent to everyone to be nice and split the estate equally.

It has been 1 year. We got screwed out the $$ just like grandma said . The bad part is her family is so embarrassed for screwing us. We dont get invited to family dinners and other things. So it's lose lose.

Money is definitely the root of all EVIL!!!!

On a good note Jessica is going live on cam and Jasmine Tame is a total sweetie pie.

annie_cash 2008-07-24 12:11 PM
