I see Terry posted the birthday's, which means that he's probably trying to start the "morning thread" as I type this...or he's waiting for me to do it, so I'll hit the button now :)

And a fine Wack a Mole Wednesday to all. The entire family starts arriving today and I have to go to a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight. Hey, being the father of the groom, aren't I supposed to be paying for this? It looks like it might be a nice day at least. Maybe I will finally get my bike out sometime today.

Not a lot of stuff going on besides work. :D
I just got news that a friend of mine (his wife and 17yr old daughter) that was overseas in business, is coming back to the USA in September. Since they were gone for over 4 years, most likely they will stay with us for a while. I need to figure out how I am going to work, to hide the stuff I am doing from their daughter. My office is in my loft, so not a lot of privacy (didn't needed it until now). I may have to move some furniture around, but that will suck since I like the set-up I have now. |catfight|

Yesterday both the TV and couch deliveries showed up in a timely fashion but it turned out that El Dorado didn't put the ottoman on the invoice.

I blame myself for not checking the invoice before leaving the store. Not wanting to be without the ottoman and not wanting to pay another delivery fee I chose to drive out to El Dorado furniture and then down to Miami to pick it up.

Not that the ottoman really fit in the back of my Vette. Got the ottoman in the back with the Vette's hatch closed but with my face pushed a few inches from the windshield and my tits touching the steering wheel. All I could think about driving home was that if I got rear ended the ottoman was going to decapitate me and if I rear ended someone the airbag was going to explode into my chest. To add to my fear we were getting topical rain storms from hell which always makes diving that much more exciting.

Finally got home, put the legs on the ottoman, and watched the movie There Will Be Blood with another couple after Christine got home. There Will Be Blood is a rather odd, very slow, and very long movie. We kept on waiting for the lead to die or something so that the movie would be over and then unexpectedly it ended.

Doing the gym thing this morning and then another boring day of slaving at the computer.

Hot and wet here so I'm staying inside and working today.

I hope this "No Country for Old Men" and "There Will Be Blood" style of movie-making doesn't become the norm. I'm tired of feeling like Jeanine Garofalo watching a Mentos commercial.

Morning..
Had an unexpected overnight in San Antonio since the train we were on went out of service. Expecting to leave later tonight which will put us in NOLA on Thursday night and into the Atl on Friday night..which is still ok since my son's birthday is all day on the 1st. We didn't see much of the city last night but plan to explore around today. Amtrak put everyone up in a hotel downtown and we have late check out tonight since our train doesn't leave until 1am.

I might have time later to upload our pics.. if i can find a USB cord somewhere around here.

Off to roust the RugDawg and find some tacos for breakfast.

Morning all. A bit groggy. My body clock that wakes me up at 6:30 in the morning didn't seem to care I went to bed at 1:30 am. Trying to wake up enough to work. Need lots of |coffee

Got kinda the basic daily work done yesterday, but nothing extra, so would like to catch-up today if I can wake up. Plus have to run some errands. My life is so boring, lol.

Got a nice call from my son yesterday. Trying to figure out if I should tell him what I do, and if so how. He's 27 so old enough, but was raised by Dad so not around me to learn what type of websites Mom does. We lost touch awhile back, and reconnected recently, even traded my-space pages, so its great to have a relationship with him again. :D

TekAngel, I feel your pain, no way I could hide it, if I close the door to my office I fry since we use evap coolers and not the AC. And since MadHatter's desk is in the living room, that would really blow it, lol. Good luck with that.

I want to see the pics of the ottoman in the Vette too. :D

Burned 18+ hours yesterday working with the future..... my last ditch effort at not having to hack code into 1500 lines of poorly written .php. However, it is php day for me today.

Cleo, how much distance do you think the ottoman could have gotten had the airbag gone off? Corvette Trebuchet Ottoman Tossing contests anyone?
