Very Strange Search Engine Issue

This has happened on all search engines since last week sometime. When I search for something either adult or mainstream, the first and most of the results are .uk domains. Do you guys think it is an isp issue, pc issue or something else?

Spyware/malware?

Did you fly to London?

I am going to have a hard enough time traveling to Buffalo :) And, I checked for all the spyware and crap. But do you think the uk has some plan to screw with everyone's SE results? :)

Sounds like a setting, go into the preferences of google and make sure that location stuff isn't checked.

Avast is having a field day with viruses in e-mails to me from .uk domains. I guess the Brits still hold a grudge....|jester|

It is with every search engine.

Use your iPhone to do your searches.

Sorry, misread that and thought you said "all searches" just.

Odd one.

Did some setting get screwed up in your router or machine that is potentially using a London based proxy server?

I believe most of those are done via geographic IP location tables -- but, the IP showing on your posts here is similar to the one you usually post with and according to the maxmind database, is in NY. It does seem odd that all engines would make the wrong assumption which makes me wonder. Do other machines on your home network also do the same thing? If not, then it is localized to your machine and is more likely a proxy issue. If they do seem to search London sites, then it is more likely an IP issue.

Maybe you changed a setting on your clock & it thinks you're in London.

OR

Maybe you've been watching that Secret Diary Of A Call Girl show on Showtime & you went to look up the reviews on Belle (last weeks show - I know)

OR

Maybe you were looking to buy BlueBrit a wedding gift & you wanted to get him something from home.

OR

Maybe you were concerned with |batman's recent arrest

OR

.....

First thing I would check Jim(and I guess you probably have) is the Windows Regional and Language Options...
