First FreeSite - review, please?
 

Well, I made this free site and, of course, wanted to show you before submitting. I was making it and fixing while reading your other reviews. Slow, but great possibility this board gave me. :)

Btw, I wanted upfront to ask some questions:
1. 2257 page with referral code like this doesn't hurt?
2. There is no javascript, but, as you can see, I have css styles overriding img behavior under hovered link... so, ummm... I saw at two or three LLs that mouseover is no-no, so are they talking about this also, not just javascripted mouseover function?
3. Page title begins with a number, so is folder name, and I planned to submit under that description. Can that have any impact on acceptance?
4. Can recips for these LLs be like this - just plain text? I noticed that on other free sites.

I'll give you my humble opinion, and I am sure the more experienced webmasters will have more to say.

2257 page: You will get declined at most LL because of the links to porn on the page. I f the sponsor doesn't have a clean 2257 page, copy the info and hosted on your server.
Mouseover: I don't think that is a problem, but I am not sure.
Page title: I think that is fine, but I would write the number three if I were you, just an opinion.
Recips: Text is fine with most LL, the only problem might be the link to cooladultlinks, it may be considered a blind link since the name of the LL doesn't appear on the link.

Otherwise, I think that the site looks good, especially for the first one.|thumb

One comment I can make on your recip table -- keep it balanced. If you have a site name and category link for one, do it for all. Use the title tag to fill in that extra text. This way, if someone hovers over the link, they see the text, but your table looks clean. I would also link the gallery text under your pictures.

Other than that, it really does look great. You have been doing a lot of homework!

It's a little cock-eyed here...I mean the warning and enter link is off-center. Did you mean to have the recip table centered with the warning/enter?

Nice colors, easy on the eyes, and good clean layout, though. Very inviting.

Your mouseover effects are fine. What that rule means is they don't want you to hide the destination url of the link, as in blind or misleading link.

You need to tidy up the index page as mentioned, other than that a nice looking site. :)

Nice and clean looking site there, as the others said, maybe You want to center the recip table and enter link. In addition to cooladultlinks being blind, I think some link lists would consider Debauchery's recip to be blind aswell, so I would consider replacing "Porn Pics and Movies" with Debauchery there if I were You.

I don't know if You have a partner account with Tommys Bookmarks, but if You don't, I would change that recip as your site wont get listed without the partner account.

All in all a very good first free site... good luck with them :)

Btw, I found very little sponsor content at some sponsors I want to use, and I don't want to use it because of overusing and and because it's old. Can I take pics from their FHGs? I mean does sponsors in general allow this?

Thats something you need to ask your sponsor. Most sponsors dont mind but there might be a few that do.

I got it. So, that's ok with LL owners... Good to know.
