Real Player help wanted
 

Last week I updated my real player to version 11. Now movie clips will only open in the browser page rather than the standard real player.

This is what I see when i click a link to a movie clip.

I can play the link by clicking run but this is driving me nuts and when the clip has finished, I can click back to return to the original page |banghead|

I have uninstalled real player and gone back to version 10 but the damage is done. Any links I view online that normally open in real player now open in my browser pane.

I know I could delete real player and use windows to play these clips but I like things the way they were.

I did a little reading and know that real player can run embedded objects, which may be a clue to fixing this but any help anyone can give me would be appreciated.

At the moment this is bugging the hell out of me and I'm ready to take a sledge hammer to the pc :D

People still use Real-Player?

I assume you are using it for rm files? From memory if you google Real Player replacement, there are a load of free programs that work for rm files without actually needing to use that horrible horrible program!

Real Player just happened to be one of the programs that played movie clips on my pc although that has been changed to windows media player now. The player issue is bugging me because if it's not real player messing up then something has changed on my pc and I want to find out what.

You could have a look and see if IE has a new plugin you need for the new real player.

If your looking for a great all in one thats simple to use,Media Player Classic does it all.Perfect for porn with it's zoom in and out feature and ability to view jpegs full screen.Great for music as well.

Without looking on my drive I'm not even sure I've even bothered to installer Real Player.
