what do you guys think about just pulling link trades with abandoned LL's
 

contact the owner or just pull links, 3 months of NO updates and the site has 0 PR on it's cat pages and index has just 0 with a white bar

I am no link dropper but I am just gonna pull links, also the site was sold years ago and the owner has never posted anywhere and I don't know him or anything about him

I would at least make an attempt to contact the owner. If he/she doesn't respond in a few days, drop 'em.

You're obviously under no obligation to keep a trade you're not happy with (for whatever reason), but common courtesy and professional etiquette dictates that you should make a reasonable attempt to notify the new owner.

Yeah, do what Leon & OnlyBestSex.com did - contact the other webmaster, tell them their PR sucks & that you're pulling their links.

If you owned a brick and mortar store and you and another shop owner agreed to put a small sign on your door to advertise the the other shop, and that other shop closed down - what would you do with that sign?

Take naked pictures of it and open sign-fetish.com?

If there isn't a way to contact them and the site isn't active I would pull the link. Personally one of my requirements with doing link trades is that I have contact with the person I'm trading with.

Just wanted to let those of you that I have trades with know that I deleted my old email address bill@pornowebs.net that I had for the last 9 years... I was getting close to 1000 spam emails a day... please PM me here if you need anything. I will also be paying closer attention to the boards here than I have in the past... ;)
