Do you need a passport to fly into Canada
Are the new passport rules being enforced |huh
|
Not until 2009 (but even then, they are looking at some sort of DMV issued ID that you can use when crossing into Canada)
Of course, I was one of the stupid people that actually got one for me & my family in a timely fashion so that I was prepared & not one of the assholes complaining that they haven't gotten around to getting a Passport yet. |
Having not taken the time to look up the rules as I write this, but I was told Jan. 01, 2008 you would need one to fly into Canada and Jan.01, 2009 you would need it to drive into Canada.
(I just asked my brother who lives in Canada and he agreed with me, that Yes, you need a passport to fly into Canada) |
I know if you're Canadian you need a paasport to fly into the US, but you don't need one to drive into the US, so its likely vice versa.
If you're going to be around the Toronto area let me know! |
ok guys thanks
my dad's the one that's going, otherwise I'd definitely look you up Sheepguy |
I've been on business trips in the past where people got a lot of hassle for not having a passport. I'd go with one as years ago you could get delayed.

Only if you plan on coming back |couch|

I remember a guy from the US needing a passport to fly into Canada so he flew to Buffalo and drove across. Pretty sure US citizens need one yes.
|
As far as I know you should have a passport in visiting or working to another country. That's a standard operating procedure for legalization.
