TGIF all. Storms came through yesterday evening and took with it alot of the humidity. Cooler day here for sure.

I need a miracle to get my office cleaned today. Over the past year it kind of became a "catch-all" when things didnt have a place, now I feel like Im nestled into my desk LOL

Have a good end of the week all...Emmy and BlueBrit - has the rain held off? Have fun no matter what.

Hot and fucking sticky alrerady today, will be doing anything that doesn't involve spending time outside.

Just another boring day spent indoors with the A/C blasting and nasty nudes on the computer screen planned.

Cool and sunny, but humid as shit. Should be about 110 after while with the heat index, but I'll be at the beach, so it's all good.

Leftover gumbo and shrimp for breakfast.

I'll be doing even less than usual today since I'm downloading a TON of content and I don't want my online activities to mess with the order of the bits and bytes and tiny whatevers. It's bad enough that my son is STEALING ALL OF MY FUCKING BANDWIDTH by playing an online game in the other room.

Do you have friends and/or family who say things to you like, "I don't know how anyone can sit behind a computer screen all day," as if that's what you are doing, just sitting there, mindless, not attempting to eek out a living? As if you are playing solitaire all day. As if millions of people aren't sitting behind computers in corporate offices every day. My father says that to me all the time. Plus, even though he's a disgustingly crude, horribly perverse man, he's condescending to me when my online work is mentioned, as if I'm a pig for working with pornography, as if I don't know a great many of his real world sins and crimes.

Why did I wake up with that on my mind? Doesn't matter. I feel better now that I've shouted it at a bunch of strangers.

Demolition work before noon, eating Chinese food for lunch and then porn slinging in the afternoon. I could get used to this :)
Just watched the opening ceremonie for the Olympic Games. Ok not true, heard in on TV in the background. Sounded spectacular :D

Volleyball and another wedding tomorrow so I'll just wish you a nice weekend right now :)

Been up for a couple hours already so a nap will come soon. Last minute plans for the wife and I to drive up north this weekend and visit her family. Not really what I want to do with a vacation coming up next week.

I used to get the same lack of respect for my time attitude from the roomie, as if I was sitting here all day casually surfing the web, until one day when my actual income figures came up in the course of a conversation. Immediate attitude adjustment. |thumb

As I type this, I'm watching the opening ceremonies on CBC. I would have forgot they were on, but Fat Al Roker was on The Today Show plugging tonight's coverage of the opening ceremonies on NBC. WHY WOULD THEY CARRY A MASSIVE WORLD WIDE EVENT LIVE?!?!?!?!

Anyway, I think I'm trapped here in my hotel room until 2 or so as The Bitch & Emmy took my vehicle to go get their hair did. Of course, there is a casino downstairs.......

Morning. Up in Chicago just checking stats, PMs, and some emails before I lose myself to the booze and baseball. :) Enjoy your day everyone.

I've had soooo many people that I've told I work out of my home for a living are envious, and they picture it must be like those tv commercials that people sit by a pool and say "I made 5,000 yesterday."

When you tell them you work at a computer 8 - 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you haven't had a vacation longer then a day or two in like....oh 10 years, and how much you pay for health insurance because you are self employed, and every month you wonder if you'll get enough in the door to pay the bills, they start wanting to do it less.

I also tell them you have to be disciplined enough to work every day and get a certain amount done and they look at me like I've grown horns.

There aren't a lot that can do what we do, because they need to have some pathetic boss telling them what to do, how to do it, when to take a break, and when to eat. If they had the freedom we do, they'd starve to death because they'd never have the drive to work without someone else scheduling their day.

Well I'm back to work today after going into Vegas. Boy did we LOVE the movie Dark Knight, we both felt that was one of the best movies either one of us saw. And it was fun to get away, but I was so wiped out yesterday, I got some work done, but not alot. So some bingo and work is planned for today.

Congrats Emmy and Blue Brit! May you have many blessings today, I always though 8/8/08 would be a great day to get married, if you forget your wedding date, boy are you in trouble, lol.

Nothing exciting here, same old boring job, I totally feel like "the monk of the industry" today. Some famous quote from a board member, that I can not get out of my head.

Morning..from beautiful downtown Clayton NJ. We're getting ready to head to Philly.. I read my schedule wrong. Our outing at Drexel is at 1pm. And the Un. of Pa is not until Monday which means we'll be schleping back on Amtrak.

After the Drexel tour we are going to do a little tour around Philly before going back to Clayton tonight. |bananna|

then tomorrow we are going HOME!! |bananna| I haven't spent more than 2 days there since just after 9-11. So I think we'll be UP for like 3 days. Having lunch at Columbia on Sunday..and i'll be able to show my RugDawg where he was conceived then hatched.

Well, my Daughter and Grand Daughter are going to be home this weekend. Today is my Grand Daughter's Birthday. I know I have to take my Daughter out tonight so it should be fun...again. :)

Spent the night last night pushing against a brick wall until I found this tiny one sentence reference to an issue someone else had which was somewhat similar. Ran some additional testing and while I will miss my deadline, the results are somewhat astounding. Now to recreate everything I've done for the last 7 days using a newer kernel since I had to backstep a few times to get this other testbed working.
