If listed in a major SE, does Google boost my ranking or PR?
 

If you are listed with a site on another major SE, does Google see it, through its spider, and consider your site for a higher ranking (for the specific keywords on the page) or PR because of that?

It would all depend on if Google spiders that SE & the current PR of the page that you're listed on in that SE, so I guess my answer would be "Maybe?" :)

In truth you cant spider an true SE.. it has no pages...

If the SE has a directory.. eg Yahoo that is a differenet story... nice HTML pages for the bot to eat;)


That said.. Google may also take into account external link popularity from other S Engines... so the bot itself wont help.. but the Link pop may.

DD How About Listing Most Of The Major Porn Sites and hiding or blind linking because you would have one hell of a traffic leak if you didnt because most of the big people wont trade with us little guys yet, would that help fool google or it must be a recip link to be effective..

Short answer is - No.

Just linking to the bigger linklists will not directly increase your rank or boost your PR.

That said, there could/would be some improvment in relevance possibly for your site if you had links to authoritative sites - eg the bigger well ranked LLs.

Dont hide anything tho... make it clear for all to see. :)

thats what i thought DD That it might help but it would be crazy to lets say( i tell the few surfers i have comming to my link site that heres more free porn and i put DD link In there GG, Cleos Hoes and so forth, now they go to your guys sites and never come back to mine and then i would have to start over on trying to build traffic, to big a gamble unless it really helped get se traffic over night, you know what i am saying


also the traffic i do have they come back everyday going by my stats

i just got it i will list those big sites in my link list category hardly anybody looks there and that might help me, can i add your link here DD everybody on this page listed me and soon i will have a link script and enough borowed links to get listed at some of those bigger places

se results are results from a database ordered through an algo. a serp is not a "real" page and can't be spidered

dmoz and yahoo DIRECTORY listing do count
