Nascar Question......

If I watch the race tomorrow sitting in the middle of my living room on a fold-up chair that has a styro-foam cooler full of Bud next to it, will it sound like the cars are driving around me if I put the Surround Sound all the way up?

Turn Left to get the full effect |jester| Oh one more thing ya need to be wearing your colors :)

Extreme Nate 2004-02-14 12:32 PM

Hey GG make sure the speakers are right behind you, oh and drink alot of beers, and then and only then will you feel like your there in person....and turn it up real loud

Linkster 2004-02-14 12:33 PM

Depends on who broadcasts it - but after the first 12 pack from the cooler I can guarantee that it will sound that way :)

But if ya want the true effect - we can take you and the Bitch along for a race in our RV and we can sit on the roof in the center of the track so you can experience it first hand :) Of course the parties going all nite you wont get any sleep for three days - ooops forgot - you already know that experience |jester|

of course we'll provide the #88 jackets

And if youre interested - we're still looking at Mardi Gras - but then youd be stuck in an apartment on Bourbon St kinda in the middle of things and it might be too much partying :)

Greenguy 2004-02-14 12:40 PM

Nate - surround sound has 5 speakers, so I'd be getting it from all sides :)

Linkster - oh man, how I would love to go in an RV, sit on the top with my lawn chair & cooler & watch the race form the infield! But The Bitch is not too big of a race fan :(

I'm lucky I convinced her to go to NYC for WrestleMania XX with the Aussies :D

Extreme Nate 2004-02-14 12:53 PM

GG you just kissed a good crash in the busch race its on NBC right now.

Good Stuff

yea to make a nice sound turn your unit to hall effect sounds like your there my sony has that, and is 500 wats with upgraded kickass $$ speakers

what i like is to play a ps2 game on my 65" wide screen toshiba hd tv with dish hd reciever and play the game through a optical audio connection to my sourrond system and play a good war game like medal of honor and it sounds so real, that most newer war movies dont sound as real

and watching anything in hd is a real treat i love it and owe for it too LOL

The only thing you''ll be missing is the cars and their parts flying at you :D

JustAnotherDude 2004-02-15 04:51 AM

If you want the full effect, I'm sure some of us can come stand around you shirtless and yell "Wooooooooooooo!."

MrMaryLou 2004-02-15 10:16 AM

Only a few hours left till the event :) Full racing garb ready to go :)

Greenguy 2004-02-15 10:28 AM

I'm ready - I have on my Wife Beater tank top, cut off jeans (not store bought, but made by me) a very slick STP hat (not the band) my shit kicker brown boots & a couple of rub on Tatoo's (I hope no one tries to touch them!)

Seriously, I'll be watching the race today - I might as well get interested in it until football comes back on :D

Im with you, im actually excited about it for some odd reason, maybe because it's Daytona, or because Im a bit ripped up from going out last night and can use an excuse to sit on the couch.

This is where I miss my hometown. I've lived in Ottawa for 6 years and back home some of the guys from a bar I use to work at get right into it. Big party with prizes, it's almost freakish. LOL

But I'll be watching the only race I usually watch all year at home alone and the wife and daughter are going out too so noone to bug me, what a bonus. |bananna|

Greenguy, if you went to a live race you'd appreciate it more. I went to the one in New Hampshire about 4 years. Awesome to watch in person.

Extreme John 2004-02-15 08:09 PM

Yeah everyone says it's excellent in person. I think thats true for some sports, but not all, perfect example is Football, I cant stand going to Football games, I would much rather watch it on TV. Hockey is better in real life, Nasketball I dont give a flying ----- I only watch it towards the end of the season anyway, Boxing or UFC events, Much better on TV.

gonna have to agree with you on this one although boxing is pretty exciting in person if you are close to the ring. I would love to go to a race one day but I just have a feeling I would enjoy it more from the comforts of home.

Races are great get in the infield and sit on camper pop a couple chilly ones and get ready for a fun filled day.

Also there is Lots of Pussy at a Race I was surprised when i went to Daytona last year and dover last year both had a fair share of babes.

Damn I missed the whole damn thing -
Was driving home 280 miles.

Nice to see JR win.

Seems to me that Nascar is NOT like baseball with the Yankees owning everything, everyone.

Years ago Jeff Gordon won everything, seems like things have evened out since then.

Drive Fast, turn Left, Revvvv 'er up - Bring it On!!
