Sponsors to Avoid?

Is there any sponsor's which I should avoid promoting which would hinder my chances of being listed on Links Lists, or who are generally despised and not looked upon favorably by the links list community?

Greenguy 2008-08-19 09:59 PM

It varies from Link List to Link List. I have no one banned at this time, but I do know that there are some (like AFF) that are on a lot of shitlists.

Thanks Greenie - I thought AFF would get a mention at some point

What about the ones banned on the board that get changed to *******.com |huh

Greenguy 2008-08-19 11:22 PM

They're just banned from the board - just because some sponsor's are |spam|ing cunts that never read the "Please post in the proper forum" messages you send them & then bash you on another board because they can no longer post after being asked 5 times doesn't mean that you can't promote them.

That and Epic Cash is under new management :D

I do beleave that AFF was at some time buing traffic from Zango, and that is why they are not to popular. So don't promote them, and to add a few others to stay away from; Zango, for using shady addware, adultadworld for promoting Zango and SexSearch.com for mostly the same reson as AFF. That is just what is comming to mind.

GG,in your experience, if a sponsor decides they want to start messing around with webmasters stats, shaving etc. who's likely to be the easier target? Small frys like myself that don't do much or do they look at guy's like you and Tommy as prey because you might be more likely to not even notice the hit?

Greenguy 2008-08-20 12:39 PM

I'm flattered that you think I make so many sales that I'd not notice a shaving :)

To be honest, I have no idea - I do a lot of sales with 3 or 4 programs & the rest are 1 here, 1 there. So I'm sorta in the same boat as everyone else.

There is a small thread goining on at the 3-letter board about which sponsors will allow Google Analytics to track surfers to the accepted page.|whisper|

Not too many jumping up, and saying no problem. One starts to wonder.|huh

Personally I'm trying to track down a stats issue on a NATs program, and I'm really not buying the replies from support.

Damnit I hate when people post about something I am interested in on that board but don't put the link up.
I just wasted two hours of my life and never did find anything about Google Analytics
I did see some hot chicks.
Learned there is a webmaster about ten minutes from me.
Found out Useless posts there.
Read that XXXJay is going to kill himself after his 10,000 post
|huh

Sounds about par for the course, based on the occassional visits I make over there. One tip you might find helpful for the next time. If you go into your user settings and turn off avatars and signitures it drastically reduces the severity of the headache. But you'll still feel the need for a shower afterwards.

Oops, I generally don't do board-board links.

I "despise" the ones that support "illegal" tube sites through advertising with them, co-branding and allowing them to be affiliates. Same thing goes for Zango and torrent sites. But I haven't banned any sponsors at all. Sometimes you just have to get in where you fit in.

Not sure if it's a coincidence, but I do hope he works it out so that his affiliates can capitalize off of the big event |thumb

I like going to "the drama board" and keeping note of the owners and reps who support pirate tube sites, shaving, uncredited revshare cross sells, traffic leaks, and generally just disrespect and minimize affiliates. From experience I know that usually these are the programs to avoid not only for ethical reasons but for business reasons as well (ratios, shady terminations and policy changes, magical missing rebills, tripled minimum payouts, etc).

hotclubsex 2008-08-25 06:13 AM

Do not promote AFF. They steal your traffic and work with Zango. I've read many bad topics about them.
