Good Morning :)
Today is one of my favorite holidays. The unofficial end of summer in the US. :) I love the things that happen after this day...especially all the College Students back to school and families staying where they belong...in the home buying porn. :)

Anyway, I am off to a friends cabin at a local lake for "Free" steak, clams and bunches of other food. I will not partake in any alcoholic beverages. :)

Shit...I forgot to mention to our Gulf friends to keep safe.

Back to school tomorrow for the kids. Likely just lots of work on the agenda for me today.

We had almost nothing yesterday from Gustav so I guess it was saving itself for today on the Gulf coast. Looks like it's still Cat 3 as it's hitting land west of New Orleans this morning. News here says 10-15 foot storm surges possible in some areas.

Wishing everyone around there good luck with things today. And a good day wished to anyone else who wants one.

Going to play racquetball in a bit and then going to watch a movie or two later this afternoon after getting some work done.

Schools are also back in business here which means that my noisy little niece isn't running around the house during the daytime. Peaceful and quiet is just how I like it.
Going to see a friend's band play this evening. Other than that there's not much special going on today.

Morning all. Woke up from a nightmare at 5:30 am, so guess I'm up. Watching CNN, glad to see so far New Orleans seem to not be getting hit too hard, hopefully the Levees hold.

Once I wake up more, I'm going to get to work.

I made it 60 minutes on my treadmill yesterday. |bananna| Now to just do that every day. :D

Tomorrow is the "official" start of classes here so I think today is a good day to just kick back and get ready for the next 9 months.

You'd think with all the construction here at a halt, there would be plenty of finish carpenters available for side work at "reasonable" rates. I need some built-ins done and i've had quotes ranging from 750-2500$. I can buy sets of shelves and attach them to the wall myself for about 1/2 that. Anyway I have 2 people coming today to give me more quotes. Let's see if they are any better.

...yes I'm back and the daily drivel can continue.

I so look forward to having all the kids in school again and all the other people at work so now we can go out and enjoy the hiking trails as they was intended to be enjoyed, alone and quietly.

Good morning to all:) its 5:22 late midday here and i am tired!
Also its the first day that most of the schools started again, so this morning my son had to go to school and ofcourse he didnt wanted to go, my daughther will be back in school this wednesday (finally, 8 and a half weeks of summer holiday, its insane).
For some reason nothing came out of my hands today and i have enough to do online and offline, last weekend we had the birthday of my daughter, well her birthday was 29 of august on fryday, but there are always people who cant come that day so the whole weekend we had visitors.
oh and i also manage to have all the stuff back which i lost in my puter, like passwords and all.
I could tell more, but i am just to tired.

Weather is an odd thing. Gustav weakened over the warmer waters -- they believe due to high level wind shearing. Hopefully everyone remains safe. Hanna is being quite indecisive -- she was going to loop, now she's not and will barrel up the eastern seaboard. Then, Ike is considering a show - though its only TD9 right now, early projections show Cuba in the path. Very odd season.

So far, Apache believes it is winning the war -- I believe today it will fall. Spent a bit more time working on it than I expected, but, had to clean up a few bugs in their code.
