Question to Greenguy
 

Hello there

Since I have been following this board, I have been trying to get to get inside Link-o-rama but never managed it.

Don't know what happens but browser tries to open the adress, takes quite sometime and finally ... the http 404 "it's not possible to find page" screen.

Any idea why? Am on cable and, as far as I know, there are no restrictions on where I can go on the net.

It sounds like you're getting a "no dns" error which is strange because this domain is on the same server at link-o-rama.com

You say you can't get "inside" - how far on the site do you get?

Can´t go anywhere, GG, just have the 404 screen but what is strange is that I see the bottom screen blue bar when loading a blank screen then, suddenly, it looks like it's trying to connect to somewhere else and, finally, the 404 screen.

Strange, isn't it?

Are you getting a 404 page of a "no dns" error message - these are 2 completely different things - a copy of my 404 page is attached & from the sound of it, this is not what you are getting.

You're right, that's not what I get.

I have like:

"At this moment, the page you are looking for is not available, etc ........

we can't locate server or DNS IE error"

PS: am in western europe (Portugal) not in some 3rd world country (although some people won't agree with me, lololol, like the german prime minister)

That is really strange, seeing as you can get here but not link-o-rama.com as they are on the same servers.

Can you do a tracert & see where it's stalling?

http://www.greenguy2000.com ?

maybe try without the www? http://link-o-rama.com/

the numerical ip works fine and so is the greenguy2000

If the IP number works but not the domain name then it is an issue with your domain name server that you are using. Who is your ISP? What do you have in your network settings?

Use the IP - just don't click on the text enter link - enter via the greenguy image :)
