Have heard a lot about tags on blogs, but never really used it.

Will it give me more se traffic if I add specific tags to each blog post I write on a blog, or what does the tags actually do?

Should I spend a few extra minutes using tags for each blog post or what do you think?

Tags are basically a way to organise posts; think of them as categories :) Except you can have multiple tags on a post. Most blog software will generate a page for each tag which lists the posts for that tag, and yes, it will eventually get more SE traffic to the tag pages.

Consider tags as your keywords. My two cents.
