Happy First day of the kill, dissect, burn, and eat a bird month

Only two trick or treaters came last night so we have enough candy left over and glow sticks for an army of little brats.

We sat down last night and filled out our absentee ballots together. Personally I think this is a much better way of voting. We spent well over an hour making our choices and did research on the candidates using Google.

Christine is sick as a dog and just went to the doctor this morning so I'll be playing nurse today while trying to actually get some work done.

Mornin' y'all,

Was up way too damn early, will likely take a mid-day siesta to compensate. Looking forward to the Texas at Texas Tech game this evening. It should be a track meet.

Morning all. Day two of our Wild West craft fair. Yesterday sales were slow, always are at this show on a Friday. Thought it was ironic though my first soap sale was to Heidi Fleiss, lol.

Today will be crazy nuts if it is anything like last year. I'm just up early submitting galleries then we take off in an hour for the fair. Have a good one all. |waves|

Good Saturday Peoples |waves|

I actually slept for 9 hours |bananna| but I woke up sore as all hell |huh My knee has also been hurting - you know that feeling you get in your knee like it's a knuckle that needs to be cracked, so you lift your leg & shake it & hear the pop? My knee feels like that all the time. There's also a muscle down the outside of my leg that hurts every time I get up off the couch. My guess: fatty needs to loose some weight before his knees collapse.

Sabres game tonight against the Ovechkin-less Capitals. I had considered wearing my jersey, but fuck it if he's not playing. Tomorrow, it's my Bills against Brett Namath & the NY Jets |thumb

We had ZERO for the 8th year in a row |cry| Not that I care anymore - I realized it was Halloween after watching I Am Legend on MaxHD & seeing that Jaws was next.

But keep those glow-sticks on the side for me - no idea why, but I fucking love glow-sticks :)

lorsha 2008-11-01 11:11 AM

Party at Jet was still going on when we left at 3am .... and I am most definetly NOT used to staying up that late. Going to take a bit of adjusting. |jester|

Have a great day everyone. |waves|

because Jaws epitomizes the Halloween experience?

Shuffling more data, shoveling more bits. Hope everyone has a good Saturday. Will try to make it to OTB, but, if I don't see you there, Hello!

JustRobert 2008-11-01 11:33 AM

Good Morning :)
We had 200+ kids come to the house last night so it was real busy for 2 hours. I put on Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and sat by the front door. I constantly backed up the movie, when big groups were arriving, to the "This Is Halloween" song which everyone walking up seems to enjoy almost as much as I do ;)

End of month ritual to take place before OTB and thats about it today

Torn Rose 2008-11-01 11:56 AM

“Jaws” is one of the greatest movies ever made.

We had about 10 beggars last night, which is 10 more than we expected. I have been sleeping terribly for the last week or so, I figured it was the blanket we have on the bed, it’s just too thick for this weather so I have been dying of heat with the blanket and freezing cold if I take it off, so today we change blankets.

Nothing planned today other than the football on TV where I get to see Purdue blow another game.

sue-fl 2008-11-01 11:57 AM

Morning!

We only got about 15 kids last night. Now that we have little ones in the house again we went all out. We decorated inside and out, my husband carved some really cool pumpkins. Well at least the ones that came and our grandkids enjoyed it.

Cleo I voted by absentee ballot also and agree it's much better. My husband and daughter are waiting till Tuesday to vote they wouldn't listen to me. They claim it won't be that bad because of all the early voting..|lol|

Have a nice day all |thumb

It's not just about avoiding the lines. There were many choices on the ballot that we had not a clue about so we were able to use the computer too do some research and have an informed vote. Even so we didn't vote on a bit under a dozen items but if we had not voted at home it would have a been a few dozen or so items that we would have skipped.

Moring. Getting going after a fun night of drinking in Chicago. The actual wedding I'm going to is tonight. It's going to be a great time if its anything like the reversal dinner.

The weather has been great for this time if year too. There were so many little treaters out last night by the hotel. Made me sad that I wasn't dressed up.

Need to map myself to the coffee shop.
Have a good one.

Even though the movie was good, it was based around a July 4th weekend.

I don't see the Halloween connection. :)

I saw that. The loss is Michigan's fifth in a row and seventh overall, which guaratees a losing season and no bowl game.

Awwww, now isn't that a shame.... NOT! |cheer|

Morning. Yes I know it's 430PM in Vegas but it's Morning somewhere!!

Have company in from LA for anywhere from 2 weeks to 20 years depending on how it goes here. so spent most of the day schleping him around cuz in typical fashion, he came with a suit case full o dirty clothes.
My pal MJ is taking him to the south strip so he can Snap a few piccys then over to Bellagio to look around.

I will be enjoying the short repast of having to constantly talk with someone instead of working.

I have to run to the Palms early tomorrow so they are in before 9am.

We had 1 trick or treater last night who told us the reason no one else came is because we didn't decorate therefore a pedo must live here. |crazy|

RDawg and I were in downtown Vegas for dinner last night and caught this happy newly wed couple. I think it's pretty cool the got married in costume.

Wow ... so...okay...then my question is what was that trick or treater hoping would happen when he/she rang the doorbell?

Hell, I don't even want to ask what the costume was.

OMG that is exactly what I asked (it was the Mother who told me) .. I said.. hmm does this house look like Michael Jackson's?? (who lives in a gated community here in vegas) and she was "escorting" an 8 yr old batman..

GMPcash-jack 2008-11-02 11:32 PM

halloween was fucking amazing. no good parties, but there were gunshots, the cops came to the pool hall, and me and my friend put our hair up and then couldnt really fit in the car... awesome! we were drunk and looked like total freaks! he dressed as the front man for static x and i dressed up like myself... i wish halloween was every day. then i could be myself in my entirety more without dodging rocks...|loony|
