This is not me attacking you or piling-on in any sense. Actually this is advice for anyone new to this.

Link list owners have lives. (Ok, not all of them, but many.) I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. Many have real world jobs. Some of us even have other people in our lives to contend with, such as kids, spouses, naked nubiles caged in the basement and parents who have perfected the art of the guilt trip. So be patient. Link list owners don't need more submitters so badly that they're going to immediately jump on every request, unless they're really new to this and haven't yet learned that more submitters doesn't equal more income.

There is no point in starting a thread as a means of contacting a link list owner. In fact, if there are other link list owners like me, which is entirely possible, they may even find it completely annoying to see their site's name in a thread title. (I don't even like to see my site mentioned. I'd rather that they intentionally exclude the name, something like, "Hey UW, you know that site of yours that I submit to? Well, it's been hacked and your index is nothing more than a high-def pic of goatse along with the words, 'The owner of this site is a perfect twat' and the submit page has pics of your wife getting gangbanged by dwarves. You should look into that.")

The private message system works great here. I tend not to reply to PMs, but I have it on good word that most site owners do. I will reply if it has something to do with what I need, but not if it is someone else's need.

Most link list owners think very positively of their submitters and future submitters. I do not. I don't like any of them. They are all evil bastards and bitches who want nothing more than to destroy me, enslave my children, make money from my wife's oral prowess, and steal the collection of Scholastic magazines I've kept in a box since the 6th grade.

I had a point, but I can't remember what it was.
